~Short chapter~

Jen POV

The sun peeked through the curtains, illuminating the spacious room, the birds chirped outside, my eyes fluttered open, revealing a mischievous twinkle. "Rise and shine, sleepyhead," I whispered, nudging Rosie playfully. "It's time to wake up."Rosie groaned, burying her face deeper into the plush pillow. "Just five more minutes, please." Giggling, I leaned closer, my breath tickling Rosie's ear. "If we don't get up, my mom will drag us out of bed, and you know how embarrassing she can be."That was enough to rouse Rosie from her slumber. She sat up, rubbing her eyes and giving Jennie a playful glare. "Fine, but you owe me breakfast for this."With a grin, Jennie hopped out of bed, slipping into a cozy robe.

As we made our way downstairs, the tantalizing aroma of pancakes filled the air. "Smells pretty good, doesn't it wifey?" Rosie said and led me into the resort's restaurant. I looked across the room and approached the table with my family. Mother saw us, beaming, and greeted us with a warm hug. "Morning, my lovely girls! Are you excited for our hiking adventure today?" Rosé nodded enthusiastically, a gleam of excitement in her eyes. "Absolutely! We've been looking forward to this."

My dad joined the conversation, raising an eyebrow teasingly at us. "I hope you both packed your hiking gear already, it's going to be quite the hike!" Rosie and I chuckled and sat down grabbing our plates. Liam entered the scene, barely containing his excitement. "I'm wearing my new hiking shoes! Girls, you won't believe how cool they look!"Laughter filled the room, breaking the tension, as everyone gathered around the table to enjoy their breakfast. After the feast we retreated to our room to change into our hiking clothes. As we rummaged through our suitcases, playfulness ensued."Rosie, imagine how funny it would be if we showed up in matching outfits," I suggested, holding up a pair of gray hiking pants and white top. Rosie eagerly nodded and rummaged through her suitcase to find something to match with me. "Oh yea, now we can match and look cute babe!" She jumped and went to the bathroom to change. With our backpacks filled with water bottles, and sunscreen, we came back downstairs to meet up with everyone.

"Is everyone ready to go?" Dad asked and everyone nodded. "Guys make sure to stay with a buddy and try not to get lost!" Uncle Sean finished. "Oh please, you really think one of these knuckleheads won't get lost!" Chungha pointed at Liam and Jake, making everyone chuckle. "Yah, you mean!" Jake yelled and stomped his way to the cars. The whole family finally set off in the cars to get to the breathtaking hiking location. As the group made their way along the winding trail, Rosie and I found ourselves lost in conversation, sharing stories, and laughing together. "Can you believe we're actually doing this?" I marveled, a genuine smile dancing on my lips. Rosie grinned, her eyes sparkling. "I know! It's like something out of a dream. And having you by my side makes it even better." she teased, making me blush and playfully nudging my shoulder. "Well, don't let it get to your head. We still have a long way to go." I responded by biting back a smile, as Rosie chuckled and picked Ella up, placing her on her shoulder, so Ella could admire the nature.
