CHAPTER THREE

Chuuya awoke as his mother shook him awake. "Wake up, Chuuya, we have to go!" The groggy man rubbed his eyes with his hands and groaned. "What? Where are we going?" His mother sighed and looked back at him. "You have your first day at dance today." Memories of the previous day flooded back as his eyes widened. fuck.

Chuuya hurriedly got out of bed, not caring if he messed his bed up. His mother had left the room by then, preparing all his stuff. Chuuya began to rummage through his room to find what he needed. He saw what he needed and began to change the previous night's clothes he was wearing. He is once again faced with the dance belt. Now, it's time to figure this out. He picked up the belt from the ground and now stood face to face with the weird underwear-type thing. He removed his boxers and replaced them with the belt, pulling them over his legs and resting on the lower part of his waist. This better be on correctly.

He grabbed the tight leggings and pulled them up his legs and over the belt.

He searched through his closet to find the one white shirt. Found it! He grinned widely and slid the shirt over his neck and onto his torso. He walked to the bathroom and tied his longer locks into a small ponytail, ensuring no hair could get in the way. He also took two bobby pins and pinned the front pieces back so he could see what he was doing.

--

"Chuuya! Are you ready?!" He quickly put sweatpants over the leggings and shuffled down the stairs. As he realized he was returning to ballet, he felt his stomach quezy. "Here, eat this, hon'. His mother handed him a protein bar, and he quickly unwrapped the wrapper and tossed it in the trash. His mother started to walk towards the door, Chuuya not far behind.

As they enter the car, the boy immediately puts his headphones in, needing to de-stress. The ginger boy looked out the window to the pretty sight before him, the sun rising. He didn't even notice how early it was til now, quickly checking his phone that read 'Sunday, October 3rd 20--, 6:03 am' Chuuya doesn't get up this early, and he was sure to feel the side effects later in the day.

--

As time passed, he realized they were pulling into a familiar parking lot, realizing they would be at the same place he used to go. His queasiness went away as the thought of his old teacher being there soothed him. Ms.Kouyou was his old teacher, and as strict as she may be, she was a second mom to Chuuya. When Chuuya would cry, she would wipe the tears and reassure him.

"Here, sweetie. I packed your water and your slippers." She smiled sweetly at the boy. "Thanks, Mom. I'll see you in a bit." He grinned at his mother and opened the car door. The boy walked out and shook his head and hands to calm himself. Come on, Chuuya, you've got this. He started walking towards the entrance of the bland-looking building.

He took one final deep breath and opened the door. He was met with a semi-circle table that was taller than him. He tried to look over the table to talk to the person behind it, but they beat him to it, standing up. As he looked up, he noticed that this familiar woman was his old teacher! "Chuuya? You're back?!" Chuuya smiled widely and nodded. "Yeah, my Mom just kinda signed me up out of the blue, but I was hoping you would still be here!" Ms.Kouyou looked at him sweetly. "I'm so glad you're back, darling." She then went to the other side to hug Chuuya from all the years they had missed together. "Come now, I'll get someone to fill in the check-in desk; let's talk." Chuuya nodded and followed her out of the check-in area.

They continued to walk through the corridors, talking about miscellaneous things, until she brought up something that caught Chuuya's attention. "There's a boy here who has been going here since you left and has become a prodigy. You've yet to see him, but he should be here today. Not in your class, but he will be here! I'll have to introduce you two since you also used to be a prodigy for your age!" Chuuya nodded and looked down, a little jealous since he used to be the prodigy of the studio. "Let's get you to your class; Ms. Yosano will teach that." He smiled at the familiar name and walked alongside her, fidgeting with his fingers. Needless to say, he was very nervous.

Walking into the room filled with mirrors, he noticed only three other people in this class. I guess not a lot of people are in lower levels anymore. He smiled at Ms.Yosano and the other students as well. "Well, now that everyone is here, I'm sure you've noticed we have a new student. Why don't you introduce yourself." She smiled at Chuuya, and he quickly got up. "Uh-I'm Nakahara Chuuya; just call me Chuuya. I used to do ballet but quit, and now I'm here again." He grinned and sat back down, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Great! Thank you, Chuuya. Why don't we get everyone's names so Chuuya can get comfortable? Starting from here." She pointed at a white-haired boy with crazy-colored eyes, starting with a purple and at the bottom a yellow. "Hi, my name is Atsushi." He smiled and looked to the right of him, signaling the next person to go. "Akutagawa." The man named Akutagawa looked down in his lap and fidgeted—Emo ass. Then the next one went. "Well, I'm Akutagawas, sibling, but you could just call me Gin." She smiled sweetly.

"Now that everyone has been introduced, let's begin our practice today." Everyone started getting up and changing into slippers, some stretching their legs afterward. "Today will mostly just be going over what we learned yesterday." Now, I have to show them I know what to do. Chuuya now had a goal: to meet this 'prodigy' and beat him in every way possible.

As the class went on, Chuuya regained his knowledge of most of the skills he had learned. He was showing exceptional talent for just starting again.

As class ended, Ms.Yosano wanted to speak to him. Chuuya walked over to the purple-haired woman, water bottle in hand. "Ah-Chuuya, I wanted to discuss your level and talent. If you keep coming in, you will be out of this class in two weeks, tops." Chuuya tried to hide his grin and replied softly. "Oh really? That's amazing!" He smiled softly. "Yes, so please keep coming in!" He nodded and started walking out the door when he bumped into a taller figure. "Watch where you're going, jackass," Chuuya said while dusting his torso off, then looked up. This was the same man from the store! His mouth was agape as he continued to look at the brunette man. "Maybe you should watch where you're going, shorty." He scoffed and walked away, seeming to walk towards the white-haired boy named Atsushi.

He groaned and walked out of the room, yawning and stretching his arms. "Chuuya!" He looked over to the side and saw Ms.Kouyou calling him over. He walked towards the woman. "Hey, what's up?" The woman laughed and started to talk again. "I wanted to introduce you to the boy I talked about earlier." Great, now I can see who this boy is now. He grinned. "Okay!" He smiled softly back up at her. "I'll be right back then." Chuuya nodded and leaned on the wall behind him.

Soon, he saw the familiar woman walking beside a tall man he couldn't see yet. As the duo entered his frame of vision, he noticed it was the same man he bumped into earlier! Not this prick! Chuuya physically cringed, and it showed. Dazai did the same thing and scoffed. "This is who you wanted to show me? He's so small I almost didn't even see him." Chuuya scoffed and looked away. "Well, you're a stupid beanpole." The taller man was about to say something until Ms.Kouyou interrupted him. "That's quite enough, boys." They both muttered apologies and looked at the woman. Chuuya switched his gaze to look at the tall boy. He was incredibly skinny and lean, wearing wrist and leg warmers, deep chocolate brown hair, and reddish-brown eyes. It wasn't until the woman called his name again that he snapped out of his trance.

"Sorry, Miss." Well, I would say that Dazai here could help you improve faster." Chuuya quickly shot down the idea. "With this moron? No way." Dazai rolled his eyes. "Like I would even volunteer to help you either." Chuuya scoffed. "That sucks for both of you because I'm making you two practice with each other three days a week." Chuuya's mouth was agape; even one was much too many. "Or else you will be punished, both of you." The boys nodded. "Now, get going before I smack both of you."

Chuuya groaned as he got into the car, his mother shooting a concerned look. "Are you alright honey?" Chuuya nodded. "Yeah, just tired. Don't worry, Mom." He smiled at his mother and looked out the window, his head resting on the palms of his hands.
