Anakin awoke to a scream and fear racing through his bond with Ahsoka. He rushed into his padawan's room, lightsaber already lit. The Jedi found her curled up into a tight ball underneath the covers, muttering and crying. "Snips," He said urgently. "Snips, wake up! It's just a dream! Ahsoka, wake up!"

And with that, Ahsoka sat up, gasping for air as though she had just sprinted 5 klicks. "Master? What happened? Is everyone okay? Is Master Obi-Wan okay? Rex? Everyone?" She asked panickedly.

"Don't worry, Snips, everyone's okay. It was just a bad dream. You're safe now. Can I ask what it was about?"

She shook her head, arms hugging her body tightly.
"You don't wanna talk about it?"

Another head shake

"Do you want me to stay with you until you fall back to sleep?" He asked worriedly.

A nod. Ahsoka curled up beneath the covers, her heart still racing from her dreams. Anakin started humming absent-mindedly, leaning back against the wall.

"Wha's that you're hummin', Mas'er?" Ahsoka asked, already half asleep.

"Oh, just an old lullaby my mother sang to me. Well, it's not really a lullaby, but it helped me get to sleep."

"Could I hear it?"

"Of course. Sorry if it sounds bad, I haven't sung in ah, quite a few years." He cleared his throat, preparing for the low tones of the song.

"Far over, the misty mountains cold

To dungeons deep, and caverns cold

We must away, ere break of day

To find our long-forgotten gold

The pines were roaring, on the heights

The winds were moaning, in the night

The fire was red, it flaming spread

The trees like torches, blazed with light."

Anakin glanced down to see that his little sister had fallen asleep. "Goodnight, padawan mine," He whispered before slipping out of the darkened room.
