Hogweed stands for gentleness. Coincidentally, it also happens to be a highly toxic plant. Contact with the plant can cause blisters, burns, and scarring.

A few weeks later with the blistering midday sun, spring in full swing, preparations for your engagement celebration made the Zenin estate buzz with activity. In just a few hours, esteemed clan heads and renowned jujutsu sorcerers from both your families would gather for an extravagant dinner to mark your union.

While the estate bustled with anticipation, attendants rushing all over the place to prepare, you found solace in the quiet corners of the garden, tending to your collection of plants that were beginning to bloom with the May weather. The array of vibrant but deadly flora responded to your touch, allowing you to handle them with ease. As you delicately nurtured the plants, a subtle breeze carried the scent of your lethal garden through the air. Unbeknownst to you, Naoya strolled along the outer walkway of the estate, his sharp eyes catching sight of you engrossed in your botanical world. His initial intent was to scold you for neglecting some responsibility that he'd make up on the fly, but as he observed your focused attention on the plants, an unexpected sense of curiosity crept into his thoughts. The aura of determination around you, the way you handled the toxic vegetation -- it intrigued him. With a decisive march, Naoya approached the garden, a scowl etched across his face. His aggressive footsteps alerted you. Panic flickered in your eyes as you looked up from your work.

"Y/N, what in the hell do you think you're doing out here?" Naoya's voice held both irritation and authority as he rapidly closed the distance.

Panicking further, you gestured frantically for him to stop. "Wait! Don't come any closer! There's hogweed there and you--"

Naoya, seemingly undeterred by your warning, continued to approach. "Hogweed? Do you think I care about some plant?"

"Naoya, I'm serious! Hogweed can cause severe burns. Don't touch it!" You pleaded as he continued his steadfast approach, your voice carrying a rare urgency.

Naoya, however, remained dismissive. "Don't play games with me, Y/N. I'm not afraid of some damn plant." With a scoff, he extended his hand, seemingly determined to prove you wrong.

The moment his skin made contact with the hogweed, a sudden change swept over his face. The initial confidence and arrogance morphed into a grimace of discomfort. A burning sensation quickly intensified, and Naoya recoiled, pulling his hand away from the hazardous plant.

You couldn't help but give him a flat, disappointed expression, the kind a teacher might give a student who ignored explicit instructions. "I did warn you," you remarked dryly, crossing your arms.

Naoya, now nursing his stinging hand, shot you an irritated glare. "You could've been more convincing." You could already see the redness setting in on his pale flesh, you knew it was only a matter of time before it would blister...severely.
