Pink Ginger symbolizes creativity, passion, and a zest for life. The shape of the flower itself also shows us how to observe our thoughts and feelings as they arise, up and out.

The Maldives stretched out before you like some kind of shimmering oasis, the crystal-clear waters lapping against the pristine white sands. You couldn't help but gasp in awe as you stepped off the boat and onto the wooden dock that led to your villa. The salty sea breeze sent the skirt of your sundress flying, forcing you to keep it down with your hands as you grinned out toward the beautiful landscape in front of you. You felt completely fatigued with jet-lag, but the serene sunset in front of you quickly quieted your thoughts.

"Wow," you breathed, your eyes wide with wonder as you took in the breathtaking scenery. "I've never seen anything like this before."

Naoya, ever the cynic yet dressed enthusiastically for the beach in shorts and a brightly patterned shirt, rolled his eyes in disbelief at your naivety as he stepped off the boat with you, smirking. "Seriously? You've never left Japan before? Haven't even been to Okinawa?" He scoffed, his tone dripping with disdain. "You really are a sheltered little princess, aren't you?"

You shot him a glare, your patience wearing thin at his incessant belittling. "Shut. Up. Naoya," you snapped, your voice tinged with irritation. "Just because you're a world-traveling douchebag doesn't mean everyone else is."

Naoya chuckled darkly, his smirk never faltering despite your sharp words. "Touchè, sweetheart," he replied with a mocking tone. "But let's see how you handle being away from your precious family for once."

Your jaw clenched in frustration at his sarcastic taunts, but you refused to let him see how they affected you. Instead, you focused on the beauty of your surroundings, trying to push aside the nagging feeling of unease that lingered in the back of your mind. It was a free vacation after all.

"This is going to feel so good," you muttered under your breath as you admired the ocean in front of you from the deck of your villa, deeply inhaling the salty air. "A break from all the drama back home, at least for a little while."

You hadn't noticed that he had left, lost in the mesmerizing view of the ocean stretching out before you. When he returned with a bottle of champagne and a pair of flutes, you blinked in surprise, momentarily taken aback by his sudden turn.

"What's this?" You asked, your tone laced with skepticism as you watched him pour the champagne into a glass. "What exactly are we celebrating here?"

Naoya chuckled, his smirk widening as he handed you a glass. "Oh, come on," he replied, his tone teasing. "We're in paradise, aren't we? Let's just enjoy ourselves for once without all the bullshit."

Your brows furrowed in confusion, your mind still reeling from the whirlwind of emotions that had suddenly accompanied your arrival in the Maldives. "But...we're not exactly on 'friendly' terms..." you found your voice trailing off as you struggled to find the right words for what you'd call whatever relationship you had going on with him. Enemies with benefits, maybe?
