As she waited for him to arrive, the minutes ticking by slowly, Zara forced herself to focus on the present moment. She had made her decision, and now it was time to face the consequences, whatever they may be.

When Zander finally walked through the door, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity, Zara felt a wave of relief wash over her. With a small smile, she gestured for him to take a seat opposite her, steeling herself for the conversation that lay ahead.

"Zander, there's something I need to tell you," she began, her voice steady despite the nervous fluttering in her stomach. "I've been seeing someone."

Zander's brow furrowed in confusion, his eyes searching her face for answers. "Who? And why haven't you told me before?"

Zara took a deep breath, her hands trembling slightly as she reached for Zander's hand, seeking the comfort of his touch. "His name is Ezrael Anderson," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He's the owner of The Emirates, the largest corporation in the world."

Zander's eyes widened in shock, his grip on her hand tightening almost imperceptibly. "Ezrael Anderson? But he's...he's our biggest rival."

Zara nodded, her heart pounding in her chest as she braced herself for Zander's reaction. "I know," she said, her voice filled with quiet determination. "But he's also...he's also someone who understands me in a way that no one else ever has. He sees past the facade I've built up to protect myself, and he accepts me for who I am, flaws and all."

For a long moment, there was silence between them, the weight of Zara's confession hanging heavy in the air. And then, slowly, almost imperceptibly, Zander's expression softened, his eyes filled with understanding and compassion.

"I may not fully understand your relationship with Ezrael," he said, his voice gentle. "But I trust you, Zara. I trust that you know what's best for you, and I'll support you no matter what."

Tears pricked at the corners of Zara's eyes as she reached across the table to embrace her brother, feeling the warmth of his love and acceptance enveloping her like a comforting blanket. In that moment, she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as she had Zander by her side, she could face anything that came her way.
