CHAPTER 3
The woodcutter did exactly the same as the sorcerer ordered, and at midnight on the last night the moon waned, because the next day the wolf would be a woman. He took the fork and put it on a stone washed by the river, making the object spin, after 15 minutes spinning, the object created a magic portal, indicating the exact location where the she wolf was.
He was a little afraid to see such energy opening onto a dark and dense path between leafless trees between mountains, but he found the courage not to give up so easily, as he was very close to achieving his goal.
Then Derek walked through the night gate, still walking along a strange path with no house nearby. After walking through the dead forest, Derek stopped, exhausted and frustrated, as he believed that when he went through the portal, he would soon find the wolf woman.
The woodcutter was upset, and thought he was tricked, it was about to dawn, even so, he couldn't see the right path, he tripped on a thin branch, fell on top of a bush, he wanted to sleep, but a breath woke him up.
Derek got up quickly, walking some more, until he saw a group of people in a hole in a huge tree next to a lake. There were many naked children of different colors and a woman. They were on top of the black woman without any clothing or protection.
Derek's eyes widened, he saw with great joy, because he was finally the woman he wanted so much to find. Were the children his children? In the years that separated them was 16 years, so these little ones belonged to another man, the sorcerer Blitave was right, there was no loyalty, she had slept with too many other males to have her young.
A sudden sadness invaded him, his face changed from happy to sad; the little ones were not his. The woodcutter was furious, thinking he had been betrayed, and wanted to kill the woman he dreamed of finding so much to propose to.
When he was going to put a stick on the woman's head, a child woke up and said:
"Daddy!" A red haired boy said smiling.
"Oh! What did you say?" Derek asked in astonishment.
"The lord came to save us, neh?" The boy asked excitedly and getting up.
"It cannot be." Derek said startling. "How can you know I'm his father? If he were to be his father, he would have to be about 15 years old."
"It's our father." A girl with lilac hair said smiling.
The little ones looked the same age, around 8 years old. It couldn't be your children, thought the woodcutter broodingly.
"Wake up, woman." The woodcutter ordered, touching her shoulder.
"What? Who?"
"Do you know how to speak now?" The woodcutter asked angrily.
"Who are you?" The woman asked, looking at him, do you know if she knew, because Derek is very dressed, wearing a beard and hood.
"I'm Derek Estevez and you?" Derek said, removing the cloth covering his head.
"I am Liati Rhoxo."
"Liati?"
"Yes! And these are my children." Liati introduced.
"Are you the werewolf of the Rhoxo clan?" Derek asked, crouching down next to her.
"Yes! How do you know this?"
"I've been looking for you my whole life; I'm the lumberjack who took you to a winter cabin 16 years ago."
"Oh glory! So I found you too." Liati said happily and kissed him on the mouth.
He accepted the woman's gesture and reciprocated with an intense kiss, the children were looking at it without understanding.
"Explain this to me?" Derek asked, pointing to the five children watching him.
"These children are your children!" Liati replied.
"Are you sure?" Derek hesitated. "Are my kids?"
"Yes! As I am a wolf and I am a woman, the time of growth changes, as wolves they are adults, but as humans they are children." Liati explained.
"It's true?" Derek said in disbelief at the revelation.
"Believe me, I'm only telling the truth." Liati said taking Derek's hand, then the smell, feeling an inexplicable excitement.
"But they must have been fifteen, neh?" Derek guessed.
"Sit here; I'll explain my life to you."
"I'm all ears." Derek said, giving a slight smile to break the face filled with extreme doubt that pitted his stomach.
"I am from a cursed family." Liati began
"That I found out a few days ago." Derek said with disdain.
"Then you know I live like a wolf, and I only have one day a month to be a woman." Right?" Liati added.
"I heard about that too."
"But I'm from a tribe in the Rhoxo clan who only have one lifemate." Liati told.
"Eh?" Derek said with a big smile.
"Unfortunately there are other Rhoxo who have a strand to another magical family the Del Tigres. They are rebels, and cannot get along with the original clan. They live in disputes and wars to see who is the strongest."
"Eh!?"
"This mate with another type of animal, also cursed, generating another being different from wolves and men, so their children have become other animalistic creatures that pursue us when we meet." Liati said regretfully, lowering her head in embarrassment for her predicament.
"Serious?! What naughty and disgusting people too!" Derek said admiringly, because he did not know much about the legends of the Rocufres.
