~No one pov~

Inside the dimly lit incubator, five eggs rested on a bed of soft hay.

Four of them were ordinary velociraptor eggs, their shells marked with intricate patterns.

But one egg stood out from the rest, its surface a deep, pitch-black hue that seemed to absorb all light around it.

As Owen Grady a former Navy seals Marine and Corin Rodger is a former military soldier , known as Spear, approached the incubator, their footsteps echoed softly in the dimly lit room.

Owen's expression was one of curiosity, while Spear's face was etched with a mix of anticipation and caution.

"What do we have here, Owen?" Spear asked, his voice low yet tinged with excitement as he peered into the incubator.

Owen gestured towards the eggs, his eyes focused on the mysterious black one.

"Take a look at this," he replied, his tone laced with intrigue.

Spear's gaze fell upon the black egg, and he couldn't hide his fascination.

"I've never seen anything like it," he murmured

As Owen and Spear marveled at Nyx's emergence from the black egg, Claire Dearing approached them, her footsteps echoing softly in the room.

She studied the scene before her with a mixture of awe and caution, her eyes settling on the mysterious newcomer.

"There are four velociraptor eggs, but the black egg is a hybrid," Claire stated, her voice calm yet tinged with concern as she joined the group by the incubator.

Owen and Spear turned to Claire, their expressions reflecting a mix of surprise and intrigue.

"A hybrid? What kind of hybrid?" Owen asked, his curiosity piqued by Claire's revelation.

As Claire described the hybrid appearance when it hatches, her voice resonated with a mix of fascination and caution, her words painting a vivid picture of the unborn predator.

"the hybrid when hatch will appears to be a dark-colored Megaraptor-like or Baryonyx-like theropod," Claire explained, her tone thoughtful as she recounted her observations.

"It will have unusually long claws, reminiscent of a Therizinosaurus, and red eyes gleam with an otherworldly intensity." She paused for a moment before continuing, her expression growing more animated as she delved deeper into the egg unique features.

"As a baby, the hybrid skin produces a tar-like substance, serving as both protection against bites and a drag-reducing feature to enhance his speed," Claire elaborated, her voice tinged with shock.

"And it's pitch-black scales," she added, her eyes alight with wonder.

"They may help camouflage it at night, absorbing light and making it nearly invisible to other creatures. Combined with it unnatural speed and razor-sharp claws, the hybrid will a formidable predator, even at such a young age." As Claire finished her description, Owen and Spear exchanged a look of admiration, their respect for the unborn hybrid abilities growing with each passing moment.

Dr. Wu's who was standing by a table, his words hung in the air, his tone grave yet tinged with anticipation as he shared his insights into the hybrid development.

"As the hybrid grows older, the black tar-like substance will gradually disappear, leaving it with pitch-black scales," Dr. Wu explained, his voice carrying the weight of his knowledge and experience.

He paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in before continuing.

"This transformation is a natural part of the hybrid maturation process. As it's matures, it's physical characteristics will evolve, allowing it to adapt to it's environment and fulfill it's potential as a predator." Owen and Claire exchanged a glance, their expressions reflecting a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"Thank you, Dr. Wu," Claire said, her voice filled with gratitude as she turned to the renowned scientist.

"We'll make sure to monitor the eggs closely as they continues to grow and develop." Dr. Wu nodded in acknowledgment, his gaze lingering on the egg as the unborn predator laid in it's egg asleep.

He knew that the hybrid was a unique specimen, one whose potential knew no bounds.

And as he watched the egg, Dr. Wu couldn't help but wonder what the future held for this extraordinary creature.

"And Nyx's claws, once he's fully grown, will be able to cut through bone with ease," Claire added, her tone emphasizing the formidable capabilities of the young predator.

Owen and Spear exchanged a glance, impressed by the potential lethality of Nyx's natural weapons.

"That's quite the advantage in the wild," Owen remarked, his voice tinged with respect for Nyx's evolutionary adaptations.

Spear nodded in agreement, his mind already calculating the implications of Nyx's enhanced hunting abilities.

"With claws like that, Nyx will be a force to be reckoned with," he stated, his tone reflecting a mixture of awe and caution.

"We'll call it the Night Feeder," Claire declared, her voice confident. "After all, he hunts with equal prowess in both daylight and darkness."
