you where in your 4th period, your strict-est period of them all. No phone were allowed at all and you guys had to put your phones in a box and collect them at the end of the period. But you being you, you could never put your phone in their cuz you literally cannot live without music, not even for 45 minutes, so you would connect your phone to your bluetooth earbuds and listen to music. you sat in the back so no one could hear your music besides the kid beside you, Gerard and you and him r chill, not friends but acquaintances so you knew he'd never tell on you or say anything about it. but you've always kept it low just out of paranoia. Until one day you forgot to turn it down and you didn't want to reach into your bag to turn it down, so you just kept it at the volume it was when you were in your free period. you and your class huddle in the classroom, most of them putting their phones in the bin but you just skip right past it and go sit in your seat. Kurt Cobains beautiful voice being put on full display inside of your headphones. You stay listening to your bands for about 15 minutes until you heard a voice from your right "hey are you listening to *insert fav band*?" "yea how'd you know?" "ur musics pretty loud dude" "aww shit" you go in the smaller pocket of your book bag and discretely turn your volume down "i like your taste in music" Gerard whisper-compliments "thanks!" you whisper-yell back "ya'know, you should hang out with me and my friends, we have a band that's pretty similar to your taste" "really? what's it called?" "my chemical romance" "just the name sounds cool, when should we hang out?" "today at 6:00?" "Sound great" you rest your head on your arm "Gerard!! Y/n!! Do you have anything you want to say to the class?" Your teacher scolds both of you. As soon as your teacher was about to scold you guys even further but the bell rings, you and Gerard walk out "see you at 6:00 Gerard" "see you, y/n"
