You'd been pacing all day, practically wearing a hole in the carpet. If you had been anyone else Billy probably would have lost his mind with you by now but considering he'd just found out he was going to be a grandfather he was actually feeling pretty chuffed.

"I can't do this." You suddenly decided, turning and heading for the door only to find your way blocked by Billy, his wheelchair not leaving you any room to get around. "You can and you will!" Nervous energy bubbled up inside you.

"I can't Billy!" You yelled.

Jake, with his oh so perfect timing, stepped through the door at that precise moment. "What's going on? Dad? Y/N?"

"Nothing." You replied quickly.

Billy shot you an exasperated look. "Y/N has something to tell you son."

Jake was in front of you in a flash. "What? What is it? Are you alright?" He asked his eyes flickering all over you, checking for injuries no doubt as he ran his hands up and down your body.

"In nine months I bloody well won't be." You muttered.

Jake stilled his eyes snapping to yours. "What is it? Whatever it is we'll fix it I promise!" You smiled.

"That's a really nice thought Jake but I think labour is normally an important part of the birthing process."

Slowly, ever so slowly the confusion that had taken over his face cleared as his eyes travelled down to your midsection and back up to meet yours again.

"A baby? We're having a baby?" He asked. At your nod of confirmation you were encased in his strong arms as he span you around. "DAD WE'RE HAVING A BABY!" He yelled.

You wanted to laugh, you really did. Unfortunately all the spinning was making you feel quite sick.
