Why me?

" it's almost 6:00 pm were you staying for dinner?" I asked pulling the covers off of me.
" if you don't mind my plans got cancelled and it would be nice if we could share a meal together." His hair is so fluffy like a cloud and his boxy smile tears me to pieces. I think to myself why couldn't I like Taehyung, he's everything a woman can ever want.  He's thoughtful, nice, funny, and handsome as hell. Taehyung's voice brings me back to reality. " y/n Jin is calling you. Are you going to get that?" I jump off the bed and swipe to answer his call.

Jin: Y/n seriously I called you like
5x what were you doing

I look at Taehyung, did he really want to
know what I was doing?

Jin: y/n did you hang up? Hello....

Oh sorry, uhm what's up why did you
call?

Jin: do I need a reason to call my best friend!

He laughs which swells my heart. I sigh I honestly don't know what to say right now.

Jin: anyways the reason I called was I won't be home tonight and I made some extra food! Please feel free to eat it.

Why aren't you coming home?

My voice sounded a little sad for my liking. I look over at Taehyung again as he's putting on his pants he signals to me that he's stepping outside. I nod giving him a small smile. He frowns at me. I swear he could see right through me.

Jin : I have a date. I can't remember her
name at the moment but yea , I'll be at hers tonight.

Do you have to be such a man whore Seokjin!! At least get the name of the person you're seeing!

Jin: woah why are you mad?

Because I love you— and I don't understand why I do. Is what you wanted to say.

I'm not mad just annoyed that you called me so many times when this could have been a text message.

Jin: I wanted to hear your voice.

when he says things like this it makes me feel like I might have a chance. But as Jin says when he likes someone he makes it known. If you're ever confused about how they might feel for you , more often than not they don't like you.  Liking someone shouldn't be confusing. I know I love Jin. I need to be realistic and just move on. That's why lately I've been hooking up with Tae. He's the perfect distraction! We have a great connection in and out of bed. I was just stupid.

Jin: since you're not really talkative
I guess I'll let you go. Put the alarm on
when you go to sleep. I don't like leaving you
alone at night

Then why are you going on a stupid date??

I don't need you to worry Jin! and I'm not
alone tonight..

Jin: what?!? Who's there with you?

I disconnected before answering him. He doesn't need to know. " brutal conversation huh?" Tae says as he leans against the door frame with two water bottles in his hand. " tell me did I sound pathetic. I mean I could tell I was upset and Jin definitely knew I was!" He walks towards me handing me the water bottle and sits on the edge of the bed. " I think you handled it like a champ! Especially with that last bit. I'm sure you're making him sweat."  I scoff, Jin is just an overprotective friend. " yea no , he just hates when I hang up on him in the middle of him talking. " I know he's trying to make me feel better but I know Jin if he was jealous he would be no stop calling and texting me. It brings me back to a few weeks ago , we were hanging out and he was texting one of "his girls" and she said she was with a friend and Jin's ears turned so red I thought they would burst.  " no Tae I know when he's jealous and I know when he's being
overprotective. " Tae shakes his head picking up his shirt off the ground. " let's go eat, I heard there's some leftovers to be ate" I laugh tae definitely knew how to cheer me up. I slide the blanket off of me and put my pajamas on. Thinking to myself why me! Why did I have to love Kim Seokjin.

" I can see why you like him y/n! All this food looks amazing." " you're not helping tae!!" I yell as I start to walk to the kitchen.
" oh I'll help you tonight y/n , don't you worry."
I laugh again as I enter the kitchen , he's pouting and I just want to kiss his face. " thanks for setting up the table." I smile kissing his nose.
" only the best for my date for tonight."
