Ray's pov

I moved in my sleep as I heard some noise coming from the monitor. I had the camera monitor placed in my room as well. Thanks to technology, it has the feature of recording audio, so I could hear what was happening. That's how I got to know about dad not wanting to live anymore, and the whole conversation the nurse had with him. That's why I immediately sent a message to Cecelia.

But right now I had the volume on low, so when Alexis when to dad's room around 2 am, I could only hear some murmuring sounds.

I woke up to check what it was, and when I saw them talking, I was relieved. I thought of going back to sleep, but curiosity got the best of me, and I turned up the volume. I stayed up listening to them. Everytime dad mentioned mom, it tugged at my heart in a painful way.

I don't know why I was still upset with him, but I was. I just didn't know how to make amends, so I continued to treat him how I have been.

I was lost in my thoughts when I saw Alexis get up and start dancing. It got a smile out of me. She was really trying so hard to be there for dad. It was commendable.

I heard everything they were talking about, and couldn't help but smile at their little friendship. I noticed that dad fell asleep, and Alexis fell asleep on the chair soon enough.

Alexis pov

Today I had to take Samuel to the hospital to get some blood tests done. He had healed from the fracture and could be back in the wheelchair. Emmanuel drove us to the hospital where we found out that if Samuel diligently followed physiotherapy, he may be able to regain some motor control. It was a wonderful news.

"You hear that? You can go to Greece in no time!" I said encouragingly. For the first time, he smiled ear to ear. He was happy. It made me happy too.
"I'm going to take you along, Alexis." He said. It was so heartwarming. I couldn't wait to tell Ray about it.

I figured that Samuel should be taken out more often so his prognosis would become better. But before doing anything, I had to take Ray's permission for it.

I went to his office as soon as we got back, but he wasn't there. I didn't want to wait here with Viktor, so I decided to go to his room, which was in the other wing. After Isaac showed me to his room, I knocked and made it known that I was there. He opened the door in a bit.

I was completely stunned at the sight of him. He usually wears a blazer, but right now he didn't have it on. He was wearing a plain white shirt, with rolled up sleeves which revealed his veiny forearms. Argh. His top two buttons were undone, and I could see his peck line. So fucking hot. I could be screaming inside.

"You wanted to see me?" He said, snapping me out of my fantasy. I didn't realise that my face had become hot.
"Uh yes. Are you busy?" I asked.
"No. Come on in." He said, while opening the door for me.

His room was obviously a reflection of him.
