------Your pov------
Your head hit the bench as somebody shook you. The sudden pain woke you up and you opened your eyes. After getting used to the bright light of the sun, you looked into two beautiful clear blue eyes. They belonged to an old lady, who was obviously relieved that you were still alive. You quickly sat up. " I am sorry if I interrupted your sleep. I thought you were.....never mind.". She then said and took a few steps back to give you some space.
"Oh, no need to be sorry. I am glad that you helped me wake up.", you replied with a fake smile. You were still in pain and unsure whether you should tell her what happened or not. But somehow, she seemed really friendly to you.
"I was just going for a hike as I saw you laying on the bench. You know, strange things happen in this city, I just wanted to make sure you're okay." She explained while inspecting your neck.
You followed the woman's gaze with your fingers on your skin until you felt the bite marks.
'Shit, she has clearly noticed it', you thought, panicking. You tried to cover your wound with your hair.
Wait, how long have I been unconscious?
"Excuse me, would you mind telling me what time it is?" you asked the lady, fiddling with your fingers.
"Oh, yes of course", she answered, flashing you a smile while she looked at her watch. "It is exactly ten past 5 p.m." She smiled.
"TEN PAST FIVE????. Damn", you almost shouted, causing her to flinch.
"I am sorry. It is already pretty late. I need to go home before it's getting dark." you excused with a calmer voice.
"Thank you again for helping me" you thanked as you wanted to rush away.
"Your welcome. But wait. Be careful. There are dark and unscrupulous creatures out there. You know how many mysterious things have happened here, right?" She whispered with a serious and warning face. Suddenly, she locked her eyes with yours and stood straight as if she were petrified. Her eyes turned completely blank and she began to speak in a distorted , deep and kinda creepy voice.
"Once there were two sisters connected with blood. A fatal mistake disturbing the ceremony left their plan unfinished. The unlimited power was never reached and so they sealed their own fate. Their loyal servants are still out there seeking for the missing piece to finish their ritual. They will come and find what they are looking for leaving a trail of blood behind..."
As you heard those words coming out of her mouth, your heart started beating faster. It seemed like the woman wasn't herself anymore, she was in some kind of trance. Her face was emotionless and she didn't move at all. After she had finished her last sentence, her eyes turned normal and she had her friendly expression on her face again.
What the heck just happened?
You looked at her confused, because you had no clue what she was talking about.
"Here, take this as a gift. It will protect and help you to stay yourself." she explained as she handed you a beautiful necklace. You didn't know what to say but you were really grateful.
"Wow, I am honored to receive such a beautiful necklace, but I can't accept it..." you rejected, shaking your head. She gave you a warm smile. "Yes you can. I don't need it anymore. I lived my life and it seems like you need it more than I do", the old lady stated, handing you the necklace.
"You know, I have lost my grandchildren and my only daughter to the monsters and I won't have much time left anyway." She stopped sighing. For a second, her smile faded until she found it again. "So take it".You were speechless and felt pity for her so you decided to accept the gift. With the help of the old woman, you wore the necklace immediately. Out of nowhere, the lady wanted to go, so you set off home too with many unanswered questions.
Did she say the truth and there are really monsters out there? I mean I got bitten by a vampire. What if the vampires killed her family? Are there more such creatures in our town? Or am I slowly losing my mind?
I need to talk to her again. She knows definitely more about all this.

On your way home, you decided to call your best friend Emily, to tell her about Sunghoon and Jay.
"Hi Y/n! How are you? Do you have a headache from yesterday?" she chuckled through the speaker.
"Shut up. I guess you don't feel any better, do you?" you scoffed. "By the way, how was the party going after I left?" A sigh could be heard from the other side of the phone. " Well, not that good. After Jay had left, my standards were too high, I guess. I mean, there were still some hot guys, but... " her voice faded into the background as you stopped listening to her "rizz-up" stories.
Maybe I shouldn't tell her about Jay. She wouldn't believe me anyway.
"Y/n? Did you even listen to me?" she interrupted your thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah of course." you lied. "Ehm Ems, can I ask you something?" you started changing the topic. "Of course. Anytime, everywhere," she giggled.
"Do you believe in vampires?" You questioned straight out. Silence...after some seconds Emily began to laugh.
"What? Y/n are you for real?"
"Never mind" you replied with a sad voice.
"Come on Y/n. Don't tell me you believe in this childish nonsense. "
"Listen to me. They are real. I saw it with my own eyes." you tried to convince her. But instead of supporting you, your best friend was just laughing at you and didn't believe a single word of what you just said. Feeling misunderstood and disappointed you looked down and ended the call.
I thought I could count on you Ems, but now I am completely left alone. What a best friend you are...
It made you angry, that she didn't take your concerns seriously, because you expected her to be understanding.
Before heading home, you decided to go to the library to find some more information about those "monsters".
