September 29, 2012. Gotham City Airport - Gotham. 18:48
Gotham City. Known for it's crime and mortality rates. A gloomy and dark place. The pollution didn't let much sunlight in either. Only the strong could survive in such a hard place. But for English-bred John Constantine, he felt right at home.
"I'm going to the apartment. Try to settle in a bit. You coming, John?" Chas asked in his accent. His childhood friend, whose sanity was questionable since he'd stuck around all those years, yet John was grateful for him regardless. Not that he'd ever say it aloud however. John and Chas walked from the baggage claim, on the way, seeing a sign.Zatara the Great!
Be hypnotized and amazed at the Great Zatara! Shows nightly every Monday-Friday starting at 7 p.m. until September 29th!Zatara. As in The Zatara. A living legend in the mystical and magical world. Something a wanna-be bloke like John Constantine couldn't afford to not see.
"John?" Chas snapped his fingers in front of his friend's face.
"Oy mate! What?!" John asked, partially annoyed.
"Are you? Coming. To the apartment?" Chas said slowly, in a mocking fashion.
"Not now mate. I think I've got a date." John grinned.
"Already? John, you just got here!" Chas frowned, and looked around to see what poor girl would be John's next fling.
"Metaphorical Chas. Oy mate." John slaped the palm of his hand to his face, disappointed.
"Oh. Well then, see ya later Johnny?" Chas grinned at his friend.
"See ya later, ya old bloke!" John bid cheerfully. There was no doubt in Chas's mind. He would no doubt make an enemy, find the newest edition to his long line of ex's, or get really drunk. Or all three.Gotham Square - Gotham. 19:14
With a bit of luck and practice, John was able to slip past the security guards, walking closer and closer to the stage that rose above the ground level. The show had been going on for the better half of an hour when he finally arrived.
"For my next trick, I will be needing the help of my lovely and captivating assistant, my daughter!" Zatara announced proudly, to which John rolled his eyes. Before John could give it a second thought, there was a puff of blue smoke. His jaw dropped as he saw the drop dead gorgeous daughter of Zatara. With raven black hair that flowed to her waist. Blue eyes that made the sky, especially Gotham's, jealous. And fair, nearly white, skin. She wore a sexy and feminine version of Zatara's outfit. With a white corset, and black tailcoat paired with black briefs over fishnet leggings, and past the knee black heeled boots. The look, accented with white gloves, and a matching white bowtie. He paid no attention to the act, and only kept his eyes on her.
A backward talking Goth Princess. The thought ran on repeat in his mind. He carelessly tapped the person to his left on the shoulder a few times. She was a blonde, about his age, with medium length blonde hair, grayish blue eyes, and light tan skin. And although she was beautiful, oddly enough, John couldn't give two shits about her.
"Who's that?!" John asked hurriedly, as if she could disappear any second. The woman looked at him with a confused expression and raised a brow in question. "Her!" He pointed to the girl onstage as if it were obvious. The blonde just laughed at him.
"And who are you?" She asked skeptically.
"Constantine. Now please. Her. Who?" He snaped his fingers impatiently.
"Oh that's funny." She gawked at him. He crossed his arms, every bit serious. "Shit for real?" She asked in surprise. "Good luck with that buddy. You'd have a better shot at throwing Lucifer back in Hell than with getting with her." The girl flipped her blond hair before turning back to watch the show. John could do all but grin, egar to take the blonde's bet. After the show, Zatara's magical assistant went offstage and to the blonde John had earlier talked to and one other. The guy with her had green eyes and blonde hair.
"Hey Zee." The guy smirked. "Nice show."
"Hi Oliver. Dinah." The girl smiled at them. "Thanks."
"Hey Zee crazy story." Dinah started.
"Oh yeah?" Zee asked.
"This guy, foreign right? He comes up and actually thinks"-
" 'Ello Luv." The three looked at John, who strode up to them with his signature grin as the blondes both crossed their arms.
"Sorry?" Zee rose a brow at the Brit.
"Name's John. What about you Princess?" He directed his attention to her.
"Uh?" Zee scoffed hesitantly.
"I'm new in town." John explained.
"Uh you guys go ahead." Zee nodded at the blonde couple.
"You sure?" Dinah frowned at Zee.
"Yeah. See you tomorrow at school." Zee smiled at her friends, and they hesitantly turned to leave. She then turned back to John.
