Beep. Beep . Beep
"What the-" my sleep was interrupted by the sudden beeping from my phone .. I saw that my mother was awake as well
I turned around to check the time and shut the thing off. It was 6:00 am
"Why'd u put the alarm. It's six in the morning" she said while going back to sleep.
"Mom we need to get ready! Remember, flight?, Florida?! You can't go back to sleep now!" I say while getting off the bed and going towards the shower.
"Oh my god yes! I completely forgot. Thank god we didn't take out extra stuff." My mom says while getting off the bed and fixing her hair with her fingers .
I finish brushing my teeth and I go to get ready while my mom fixes her self.
"Mom do you think I'll be fine .. in Blackwell?" I ask while taking out the knots from my hair.
"Yes honey of course.. you'll be the most perfect student there.. trust me Si." My mom says while giving me a hug and kissing my forehead .
I missed my mom she's been so busy after dad left us. I miss him as well but good things always have to end right?
We finish getting dressed. Check for stuff if we left some and head for the airport .
Our journey wasn't that long cause there wasn't much rush. We left at 6:45 and reached the airport at 7:20
We check in and go inside the plane.
"Wow huh? Can't believe I'm finally going to Blackwell" I say while looking outside the window. NYC is an amazing place.
"I'm gonna miss you so much Si!" My mom says while holding my hand.
" Aww mom me too" I say while giving her hand a light squeeze.
"Ladies and gentlemen we're going to take off from JFK airport now.
So please fasten your seatbelts" the pilot tells us from the speakers.
The plane takes off after a few minutes and I just look outside ..
I can see all the yellow taxis waiting to pick up the passengers and take them into the city. Oh I'm gonna miss this.. very much..
I read a little bit of 'The Hunger Games" but I was feeling a little sleepy so I went to sleep.
............
I was woken up by the light shaking of my right arm. When I woke up I see my mom lightly shaking me.
"What's wrong mom?" I ask while rubbing my eyes and looking outside. We'd landed.
"We've reached Si" my mom says while giving me a excited look
"Seriously!! Wow!" I say while hugging my mom.
We leave the plane and get inside the airport. When we get inside I see a huge sign which says 'Welcome to Florida'
I can't believe I'm actually here! This is gonna be awesome! I hope.
