After school Chelsea drove to the beach. There she found Charlie sitting in the sand drawing pictures with a stick in it.  She honked the horn then got out of her car and ran into Charlie’s arms. He set up a romantic sunset dinner at the beach, what an amazing guy. “I missed you!” Charlie confessed. “I missed you to.” Chelsea kissed her handsome boyfriend. The sun hit his eyes and made them glow as he leaned in for another one. “This is beautiful, thank you.” Chelsea whispered. “It was the least I could do.” He replied. The beach was empty it was just Charlie and Chelsea together alone. Charlie poured them both a glass of white wine, and turned on his Michael Bubl’e C.D. and grabbed Chelsea’s hand taking her to dance.  She laughed out loud as they swung and twirled around to the jazzy music. As they danced they got lost into each other’s eyes. The sunset began to sink into night and the stars twinkled above them. “God I love you!” Charlie whispered in Chelsea’s ear kissing her passionately. The night went on and soon the two were wrapped into each other’s arms together under a blanket in the trunk of Charlie’s big silver truck. Chelsea awoke in her bed with a note on the pillow next to hers. Thanks for the great night! –love you! Charlie. She was living the dream with this man. Chelsea got out of bed and went to go check her mail. She quickly rummaged through all the junk tell she found a letter from Zach. She opened it and read it.

Dear Jade,

I can’t tell you how happy I was when I got your letter back! I thought I lost you forever, but hey I didn’t! And all these years I have been living in misery, when I had you with me everywhere, in my heart you remained and always will. We should meet up some time and catch up in person, like you know, well another first date. It will be like starting over. I live in New York now, so if that’s a problem, let me know! Love you forever and always…

                                                                                                                                                Zach

Chelsea finished the letter in shock. He wants to meet up? Was this a good idea? Should I meet up with him?’ Chelsea thought, then she pushed her bad thoughts away and went to write her second letter as Jade.

Dear Zach,

I would love to meet up! I live in New York too, and we can go grab dinner at the bistro at 6 p.m. on the 26th! Well since we both live in New York I guess there’s no point in writing letters anymore, call me, 709-2233-456. I was wondering how the letters got here so quick, it’s because we live in the same state funny… Love you, can’t wait to see you!

                                                                                                                                                                Jade

Chelsea drove to the post office… again… and sent her letter… again. She was nervous about meeting up with Zach. What if she looked nothing like Jade? Oh well she’d just say she got plastic surgery and dyed her hair. Then she called her best friend Paige. “Hey Chels! What’s up?” She asked. “Do you want to go to the mall with me?” Chelsea asked her besti. “That sounds great!” Paige replied. “Great! I’ll be at your house in fifteen minutes so be ready.” Then the girls hung up. At the mall Chelsea dragged Paige into a fancy dress shop. “Girly what are you doing with Charlie tonight?” Paige asked seeing all the expensive dresses around her. “Well yesterday he toke me to the beach and we had the most romantic evening! We danced and made a wish on a shooting star we saw. It was amazing!” Chelsea finished dreamily as a mental picture of the night before flashed in her mind. “Did you guys do the deed?!” Paige asked nudging Chelsea playfully in the ribs. “Paige!” Chelsea screamed offended. “Oh come on! You can’t hide the juicy details from your best friend!” Chelsea rolled her eyes. “Maybe.” She smiled sheepishly. “OMG! You are so lucky! Charlie is a dream! He’s so handsome and sexy. Meow girl you get him!” Paige said excitedly as other customers looked at the girls. “Paige be quite people are staring.” Chelsea whispered to her friend. “So what.” Paige shrugged not caring. “You have to tell me where Charlie is taking you though.” Paige told Chelsea. “Uh actually he’s not taking me anywhere.” She replied. “Then why are we in this expensive fancy dress shop?” Paige asked. “Chelsea pulled her friend with her into the dressing room and she started to change. “Ok, can you keep a secret?” Chelsea asked. Paige nodded. “I am meeting a guy that I have been writing to for a few weeks.” Paige looked shocked. “Oh my god you’re cheating on Charlie?” “No no no no no, well I’m not sure. This guy sent me a letter by accident. It was to his ex-lover named Jade, and I wrote back as a harmless prank pretending to be Jade, and now he wants to meet me in person.” Chelsea toke a deep breath. “Chels! This is really bad! If Charlie finds out he’ll be heartbroken!” Paige felt a rush of sadness for Charlie. “Well all I was going to send was on letter, but then more came and now this meeting in person thing. Oh god Paige what am I going to do? You just can not tell Charlie or anyone ok? Promise?” Paige nodded after Chelsea finished. She zipped up her satin red dress and turned around. “Well what do you think?” She asked Paige, but she just sat there then stood up. “I’m sorry Chelsea, but I have to go, best of luck with... Zach.” With that Paige left and Chelsea was left all alone.
