The rumor has already gone around at this point. A few people already knew that Laurence and Mason came out of a room together, most people just made an assumption on what happened there.
Jayden and Brice were a couple of people told about what happened that day.
"You're kidding, there's no way that happened" Brice said walking to the gym with Jayden.
"It's true, there was some girl that heard the whole thing"
"How did she hear it unless she was in the room with them?"
"She said it was loud enough to hear from the hallway" Jayden said throwing his bag by the bleachers.
They started walking around the basketball court while still talking about the whole incident.
"God damn it's cold in here" Laurence said dropping his bag by the bleachers.
"Why don't they ever have the heat on in here, this is the one place where they actually need it!" Aaron agreed
Jayden saw Laurence walk into the gym and turned to get Brice's attention. He whispered and pointed at Laurence from across the gym, laughing among themselves.
"The fuck are they doing?" He questioned
"Probably talking about you and Mason, to be honest"
"WHAT?!" Laurence yelled, face turning bright red
"What? You didn't know?" Aaron said casually
"What are people saying about me and Mason?" He said, trying to calm down
"Someone saw you and Mason walk out of one of the classrooms together looking winded as hell and told a bunch of people"
Laurence silently panicked to himself, he didn't realize that people knew about what happened with him and Mason. The noises, the dim room, the movement.
"Hey dumbass, don't walk into a wall" Aaron said nudging Laurence's shoulder while they walked.
"Sorry, I just zoned out for a bit"
The teacher blows the whistle and calls them all over to the base line. She tells them that they're all going outside to have a free activity period.
They all go out the side doors and start walking down the sidewalk over to the football field.
"I wonder if Laurence and Aaron are good at playing soccer"
"Not as good as me" Jayden said confidently
The entire class gets out to the field and starts grabbing equipment from the shed.
"Hey guys! Wanna play soccer with us, we need two other people to play" Brice said gesturing towards Aaron and Laurence.
They both walk over and the group sets up the nets to play.
Brice and Jayden on a team against Laurence and Aaron. Brice and Aaron are the goalies while Jayden and Lawrence go head to head. The game starts and both teams are so competitive that other people stop what they're doing to watch them play.
The scores are tied so the next point could win it for either team. Brice and Jayden switch off so he can go against Laurence.
"Imagine losing this to someone better than you" Brice says breathlessly
"Shut up you twink bitch" Laurence says angerly
"Mason already shut you up" Brice said laughing
Laurence fumes and runs to kick the ball, hitting Brice in the face.
