"Oft I had heard of Zaya Ife
And when I crossed the wild
I chanced to see the break of day
The solitary child

No mate, no comrade, Zaya knew
She dwelt where none abide
The sweetest thing that ever grew
Upon the mountainside

You yet may spy the fawn at play
The hare among the green
But the sweet face of Zaya Ife
Will never more be seen"

THE LULLABY rang through the child's ears while looking with horror and fear at what was in front of her. Every night her dear mother would sing her to sleep by a song she composed; the first and last thing she saw and heard during the day was her mother. The kid loved her more than anything, people could say that she never actually saw anything, but even if she had explored the entire world and admired all of its beauty her mind wouldn't have changed. Her mother was everything she needed.

So many happy memories of hers were tainted by the sour taste of sorrow...

Opposite to what others would think of the daughter of the Sun god, Zaya's past was all but bright. No one knew how she got in the camp, nor what challenges she had overcome in order to survive the hardships of the world she was born into.

Zaya was a mystery, a secret, a wild card no one knew anything about. But here's the thing with secrets...

They tend to get revealed...
