She seems to be trapped in a world of creatures made from thick mist
Features forever sifting
Cured to never settle
She could see them all, could touch them and interact with them
But the never consciously did the same with her
Until the week after the death of her mother
She noticed a wisp, that's what she adapted to calling them, following her
She reached out and touched it, her solid fingers and their smoke ones merged, and she got a crash course in their life
It burned bright, and she caught the glimpse of a young little girl before it rose into the sky
That was the straw that broke the camels back
Constantly, she was cornered by wisps wanting to be set free
Wanting to move on from whatever was holding them to the waking world
What was she to do when one of them she let pass on held onto disturbing memories
Horrible things people had done
Tasking her with figuring out who killed her and why
Whilst unceremoniously adopting the task, she became friends with the next-door neighbors cat
Mr. Fluffy-kins
Yes, he was spoiled like their own child
Together with her stange ability and his keen sense for untrustworthy people, they work to slove a murder gone cold
As they come closer to the truth, people start disappearing, death threat carved into her front door
'It always with you
Watching, waiting
You can't escape this
Stop looking or else'But let's be honest, who EVER read the warning labels first??

I'm interested to see where this thriller idea might go.
I've always had a soft spot for quirky murder mysteries, so I hope I can do this justice if I try it
