Making A Plan

"What do you mean Horse is inside his brain!?" Rider asks angrily as she points at some enemy soldiers.

"Look I'm not trying to be a snarky tool right now but it's exactly as it sounds." Ched says.

"Horse leapt like a flying savior of the night and used her backstory magic." Durpleton says.

"Then she made all the big bad warriors frozen. See?" Glendale says as she throws something at a frozen soldier knocking him over.

"Why would she do that? The general is on his way." Rider says confusedly.

"He's not here yet. The battle was going to start without him." Wammawink says sadly.

"She sacrificed herself... To give us a fighting chance and to win the war." Alexis says sadly.

"She didn't even consult me about this! Why you gotta consult your best friend before a sacrificial heroic mission you know. I am clearly deeply distraught and trying to hide my sadness and grieve!" Wammawink says sadly as she cries causing the others except for Alexis, Rider and Water Baby to begin crying over Horse.

"Guys crying won't solve anything. We're all upset about this but crying won't make things improve." Alexis says.

"Alexis is right. Crying won't get us anywhere. I need everyone to stop the crying. Use your magic and get her out of there." Rider says as she points at the Nowhere King.

"Our magic doesn't work like that Rider. We don't have the power to get Horse out. No matter how bad we want to." Alexis says as she looks at Rider.

"Horse is the only one who can get herself out of there. We have no way to reach her." Water Baby says as Rider begins crying as Alexis sadly lowers her head and flattens her ears.

"I'm sorry." Wammawink says as she puts her hand on Rider's shoulder.

"If she's gone we have to make her sacrifice matter. So here's the plan. We have the advantage now. We are going to take out every single one of those Minitaurs." Rider says as she draws her sword.

"Can you just hold that thought for a smidge. I would just like to address the elephantaur in the room. Now I said a lot of mean words to Horse and now that she's not here and can't hear a word I say I would like to clear the air. Horse if you can hear me I'm sorry for the following items." Ched says as he flies up to the Nowhere King and begins listing off things he is sorry for.

*Timeskip*

"Uh Rider you may want to get things moving. Ched is gonna be a while." Alexis says annoyedly as Ched is still apologizing for things.

"Alright I just we each just uh pick a row. First you want to lop off their heads." Rider says.

"Oh dear." Wammawink says in surprise.

"Next you're gonna wanna grab limbs and start lopping those off too. Then just carry the pieces that are left to the burn pit which by the way we're gonna need a burn pit. Okay so who wants to dig a burn pit. Alexis? Your powers should make it quick and easy." Rider says as she looks at Alexis.

"Uh sure I mean I guess I could." Alexis says as she gives a nervous look.

"Okay so I have some thoughts. It seems wrong to lop because it seems a lot like kill these Minitaurs when they're not doing anything wrong right now. My baby boy child used to be a baby boy battle child like them. What if we had killed him?" Durpleton asks as he picks up Stubby.

"I tried." Rider says annoyedly.

"Nah dads it's cool. I lopped off heads all the time." Stubby says as Durpleton puts him down and hands him his sippy cup.

"Rider we can't do war crimes. There's got to be a better way." Wammawink says.

"What do you suppose we do?" Rider asks.

"I have to agree with Rider. I mean Horse gave herself up for us to have this chance. We can't waste it. Even if that means doing something unpleasant to ensure things weren't done in vain." Alexis says.

"Glad one of you is reasonable." Rider says as Glendale holds up her hand.

"Oh! Glendale has an idea." Wammawink says as she smiles.

"I do not. I just gotta make splashies and I don't know where the tinkle tinkle bye bye zone is." Glendale says.

"The what? You mean the toilet?" Rider asks.

"Just find a bush Glendale. Alright anybody have any ideas to deal with the Minitaurs?" Wammawink asks as she begins trying to find alternatives to Rider's plan.

*Timeskip*

"Guys can we please the lopping? The lopping works." Rider says as she draws her sword.

"Ooh. War crimes... Rider wait! There's gotta be a better way." Wammawink says as Rider goes to attack a Minitaur only to hit Durpleton instead as he blocks the hit.

"Owie. I got an idea. You don't have to feel bad Rider." Durpleton says as he begins singing to suggest burying the Minitaurs in a hole much to Rider's annoyance.

"Okay so that's the whole plan?" Rider asks.

"Yeah. We just sang the whole song." Ched says.

"Holes!" Everyone but Alexis and Rider says.

"Your call." Alexis says as she looks at Rider.

"Alright. Fine. I'm clearly out numbered here. So let's try-" Rider then gets cut off as a Minitaur suddenly grabs her.

"Rider!" Alexis shouts in alarm before Stubby attacks and kills the Minitaur from behind causing it to let go of Rider and fall to the ground.

"What just happened!?" Rider asks in alarm.

"What just happened is that I saved you and I did it with this knife. This is the knife you stabbed me with and this is the knife I return to you now." Stabby says as he holds up his knife to Rider.

"Yeah. No. You can keep it. Why didn't you guys just let me do the war crimes?" Rider asks as she and Stubby go over to the others.

"Uh Rider I think we got a problem." Alexis says in alarm as everyone sees the Minitaurs are shaking.

"The Minitaurs are waking up." Rider says worriedly.

"I don't understand. Why are they moving?" Wammawink asks worriedly before everyone sees the Nowhere King is now moving again as well.

"Well if they're moving does that mean Horse isn't trapped anymore? Where is she?" Alexis asks worriedly.

"Did she come out?" Wammawink asks worriedly.

"She must still be in there." Water Baby says.

"Then how is he moving!?" Wammawink asks in alarm.

"He's the Nowhere King! There was no guarantee Horse's magic could hold him forever!" Water Baby shouts as everyone looks at the Nowhere King and his army.
