   It was then that Rowan snapped out of his rage. Looking around at all of the damage he had caused, his eyes landed on the other's faces. The wolf whined and backed away, "It's okay Rowan, no one is mad at you." Edward calmly tried to ease the wolf's panic. He couldn't read Rowan's mind; he kept getting a foggy feeling. "You got me fair and square. We haven't seen each other in a long time huh?" He slowly stepped closer to the wolf, not wanting him to run off.

   When Bella took a step forward to go see if Edward was okay. The mono-colored wolf's head snapped towards her. Rowan huffed and took off, Edward cursed under his breath with a frustrated sigh. They had stopped when they smelt blood again. This time more prepared, they went into action to patch the clumsy girl up again. While the brooding vampire was worried for his girlfriend, his mind was on his one and only favorite wolf. Rosalie scuffed at Edward and ran after the older vampling.

While Edward was driving Bella back home, she was talking about when and how she wanted to be changed. When she said she wanted her boyfriend to be the one to change her. Edward slammed on the brakes; Jacob had jogged into the middle of the road. He was shirtless and wearing cutoff jeans with sneakers. In a monotone voice, Edward told his girlfriend that Jacob wanted to talk to him.

   Jacob went not too far into the woods but far enough from lingering eyes, and waited for Edward and Bella. The shifter couldn't help but feel eyes on him. He looked around to see if he could catch his pack brothers spying on him. Turning back when he heard the couple's footsteps come to a stop. Edward glanced around to see if he could find what Jacob felt. Both males were on edge, they were opposite sides of the same coin. "I see you're still alive, for now." The wolf warrior stated annoyed at the couple, the whole situation, and now the lingering feeling of eyes but not finding them. 'It seems like the leech is keeping her away then.' Not too far from the trio, stood Rowan's marbled wolf, ready to protect his idiotic friend at any moment. Edward tells Isabella what Jacob was thinking. "You, stay the hell out of my head," anger evident in the teen's voice.

   Edward now steps in front of Bella, getting between her and Jacob. "Jacob, I know you have something to say to me. But I want to say something to you first." Rowan could hear how nervous Edward was. Normally he'd be okay, confident even, standing in front of another supernatural being. Honestly, the old man was still shaken by his friend's surprise visit and beating. Plus, some of his wounds were still healing. "Thank you," Edward says while looking into Jacob's eyes before looking slightly away and to the ground in shame. The shifters eyes reminded him of Rowan. "Thank you for keeping Bella alive when I didn't." Jacob agrees that Edward didn't help keep her alive and that it wasn't for his benefit. "I'm still grateful, but I'm here now." Sensing it about to get hostile Rowan scrunched himself up ready to pounce at any given moment. "I'm not going to leave her side until she orders me away." Rowan scuffed in his head, yeah right.

   "Yeah, we'll see." Jacob scuffs as well, Edward turns away and has his back to the shifter. "Hey," Jacob steps off of his high point and gets on level with Edward and Bella. Now standing close to them, "it's my turn to talk. I'm here to remind you about a key point in the treaty." The vampire slightly turns to face him, in the back of his mind, he's hoping his best friend is still around. Telling the wolf that he hadn't forgotten and Bella trying to understand what the two are talking about. "If any of them bites a human, the truce is over.

   While hearing the conversation Rowan couldn't help but feel angry. This selfish, manipulative, soul-sucking, boring ass bitch!!! He had to bite back a growl, hearing her confess her love for the other wolf. Asking the poor wolf not to make her choose. He started to see red, and apparently, so did Jacob. Edward pushed Jacob back, hearing how angry his thoughts were getting and what he was planning. When Jacob growled and shifted, Rowan growled and pounced, effectively pushing the auburn wolf away from the two. Both of them roared at one another before attacking. They snarl before getting on their hind legs. Jacob tries to get to Rowan's neck but can't because of how fast he is. The brown-eyed wolf settled for digging his claws in and dragging them down Rowan's chest.

   The mainly grey wolf yelped and whimpered. Who in the hell are you?!? Why are you protecting that leach?!? Jacob growled as they circled each other. You're a trader to our kind! Jacob barked and growled sharply with a harsh glare. I should kill you right here and now. Jacob bucked at Rowan while bearing his teeth. Rowan, who was used to this response and insults, just stared at him unamused and calculating.

   You don't know anything, you prairie dog. I'm protecting my loved one just as you are protecting yours. The teen wolf wasn't listening anymore, lunging at Rowan with another snarl. Both wolves ended up rolling around, both of them ripping out each other's fur. I know it's hard! I know it hurts with everything in your being. Both your person and wolf, but you have to let go. Please stop this, I don't want to hurt you! Rowan pleaded as he swiped at Jacob to keep him at a distance while he spoke. No matter what he never attempted to even bite the shifter.

Back to the couple, Edward stood there frozen. Venom pulled up as he listened to what they were saying. "Edward, what's going on? Is Jacob, okay? Did that crazy monster hurt him?" Isabella questioned worried about her wolf lover. While Edward wasn't listening, she got annoyed. "EDWARD! Are you listening? Is Jacob hurt? Tell me."

   The vampire furrowed his eyebrows together, his age lines showing more than normal. He hated the way Bella talked about Rowan. Edward had to take an unnecessary breath to keep calm. He opened his pale thin lips to reply. When a loud crunch and multiple pops of bones breaking echoed to them. A few pain-filled yelps and howls followed, causing Edward to pick up Bella and rush over to the car putting her in. "Stay here, please." Mr. Sparkles sighed, Bella could see fear and worry in his eyes, so she listened for once, at first. Edward ran over to where the wolves had been fighting. Seeing both wolves equally injured and in so much pain that they shifted back to their human forms. Edward rushed and got their bottom halves dressed before calling Carlisle. While in pain Jacob could see how much Edward was holding back from comforting the mysterious wolf.  The shifter could see the odd scars all over the other wolf's body.
