"What the actual fuck Steve why would you do that?!" Bethany shouted at him once they were at the store, whilst Tommy and Carol went in to buy things Bethany took it upon herself to discipline her brother."I don't know Beth, I just did okay!" He shouted back, still riled up from earlier.

The two both stood in silence until Tommy and Carol came back to give Steve the closest thing they thought to an ice pack which was a cola can and some aspirin.

"You owe me $1.20" he said to Steve, throwing the aspirin at him. "Don't worry he'll need more than one aspirin when we're done with him" Tommy says."Yeah, if the creep ever gets out," Carol responded. "The cops should just lock him up forever, did you see the look on his face?" she continued. Then started imitating Johnathon by lightly punching tommy whilst having an ugly grimace on her face."He probably had the same look whenever he killed his brother, right?" he said, patting Steve on the shoulder.Carol then pipes up saying "Oh god i just got an image of him making that face while he and Nancy are screwing". Bethany looked at her in disgust ,but Steve wasn't having any of it and told Carol "For once in your life, shut your damn mouth!".At that moment Bethany felt proud of her brother. Tommy then asks Steve what his problem is to which Steve gets even more riled up at calling them both assholes and threatening each other. Tommy then grabs him by the collar and pins him against his car.

"Let him go," Bethany shouts at him.
Tommy grins and lets Steve go, Bethany then walks round to the side of the cra getting the passenger seat and Steve is basically being pushed into his by Tommy who was shouting as they sped off away from the shop.

While they are driving back home Steve finally asks the question Bethany was waiting for. "Why were you with Byers and Nancy?" He asked her quietly."Umm- errm well it's sort of a long story..", she replied trailing off at the end. Steve just decided to drop the question not wanting to think about it."Hey you alright?" she asks Steve."What do you think Beth, I've just completely ruined my chances with Nancy," he tells her frustratedly."Well I think you might be able to redeem yourself, would you like my advice?" She replies kind of smugly."Yeah sure" he says"Okay well first of all you could help get rid of the slut shame that you spray painted onto the movie theatre, then you could apologise to Johnathon and then you could go and apologise to her and that it was just a misunderstanding?", Bethany suggested."That sounds like a plan" He said, sounding a bit more excited this time.Bethany was smiling to herself as they drove to the movies for Steve to clean off the spray paint. Steve went outside and talked to the man who was already wiping it off while Bethany opted to wait inside where it would be warm. She walked into the theatre and stood at the counter was Miss Robin Buckley. Bethany felt her stomach have a weird sensation when she saw her. She thought why not go and talk to her about the worst that could happen. She walked over to the counter where Robin and another employee were talking, the employee then pointed towards Bethany so Robin saw her."Oh sorry i didn't see you there" she said laughing awkwardly."It's fine don't worry about it" Bethany replies with a smile on her face."So what movie do you want to see?" she asked Bethany."Oh no, I'm only here because Steve is helping wipe off the graffiti out there," she told Robin."Oh okay, do you want to.. hang out?" Robin asked, sounding slightly worried about what Bethany's reaction would be."Yeah sure!" she said excitedly.

Robin then told the other employee that she was going to take her break to hang out with Bethany. The other employee looked at Bethany and raised her eyebrows slightly but she ignored it and just followed Robin to wherever she was going.
"So, have a seat " she said pointing to two red chairs which were next to a wall.
"Okay" is all Bethany said and then she sat down staring at the girl next to her, knowing she couldn't stare in that way but continued staring anyway.
"So..." the Buckley girl said.
"Right, yeah erm okay sorry, how was your day then Buckley?"
"Not too bad now that I've seen you, it's made it a bit more interesting now, how's yours?" she asks, staring down a bit, Bethany followed her eye line to see that she could see the cuts that she had made in her skin the other day. She pulled down her sleeve, " Yeah it's been quite eventful today, Steve is in his redemption arc era now I think, he's wanting to do all these things for Nancy Wheeler cause he doesn't want to lose her" Bethany rambles to which Robin is nodding her head along to what she is saying, showing her that she is understanding what's happening.
"Hey, is it alright if I ask you something?" Robin asks
"Yeah?" Bethany replies hoping it's not what she thinks it's about.
"What's that?" she asks, pointing towards her sleeve and looking at Bethany concerned for her.
"erm , Promise not to tell anyone, and i mean anyone" she says quietly.
"Yeah of course." she says frowning a bit. Bethany looks at her shoes on the floor and tells Robin "They're cuts, from when my life gets a bit too much for me, i guess this is my coping mechanism" she says while looking down, feeling ashamed at what she does to herself.
"Oh- well, Bethany can you look at me for a minute?" she said, moving her hand to lift up Bethany's chin. Bethany's stomach exploded, the funny feeling came back and so did a blush on her face.
"That's a normal way to cope with a tough time quite a few people actually go through the same thing like that, please just promise me you won't do it again"
Bethany nodded her head letting a few tears slip down her cheeks.
"Thank you Robin, you know none of my other friends would understand any of this. I guess they would just call me crazy and send me to Penthurst or something, " Bethany said, laughing a bit.
"So have you told anyone else about it?"
Bethany shakes her head no and smiles a bit happy that she has at least told someone.
"Okay that's fine i was just wondering" Robin says
Steve then walked into the movie theatre looking around for Bethany.
"Well that's probably my cue to leave" Bethany says laughing while getting up from the chair.
"Wait Bethany"
"Call me Beth" she said with a smile,
"Okay Beth, here's my number just in case you want or need to call someone, '' Robin says while writing a phone number on Bethany's hand.
" Okay thanks Robin, bye" she says while blushing walking back over to Steve.

"Great, Beth, we need to get going before it gets too dark" he says
"Okay, can you just drop me at home, this is your thing and i don't really need to be there when you apologise to Byers".
"Okay i guess" he says "who was that?" He asks, pointing towards Robin.
"That's Robin Buckley"
"Oh okay, is she your friend or something?" he asks
"Yeah she is now" Bethany responded with a smile.
"Okay let's go" Bethany says and the two talk out of the theatre, back to the car to get to the Harrington household.
