you let it sit, alright.

you let it sit a while.

you didn't speak to anyone about what happened, both between michael and you, but also with mark.

you tried to hang out again, but it didn't feel the same

you hadn't spoken with mark since then, either. you felt.. bad.

bad for him and bad for thinking over other possibilities with him. it was selfishly wrong, morally wrong, all kinds of wrong! but you couldn't help it.

and.. before you knew it... their group started to... change.

mark became distant, and without his goofy personality, fredrick and simon both laid back. michael changed too. not because of you, of course, but.. because of his family. he wasn't the same boy you fell in love with.

maybe it was his job, which honestly you weren't sure how he managed to keep up with along with school. or maybe it had to do with some personal problems, you didn't doubt any suspicions.

within the first month of summer vacation, drastic changes happened.

you never really got why or how they did, though.

michael asked you to be his girlfriend, and you agreed. that was at the start of summer, but now... now things felt... weird.

he just sort of.. changed.

it's like he snapped.

you saw him bully his little brother countless times, the other guys joining in. that was only the beginning of the list of things you started to dislike about them.

sometimes, michael got mad at you, too. you weren't sure of how to comfort him. you always tried, staying by his side, letting him have alone time when he needed, but... nothing changed the way he now was.

he was more guarded, more... more pessimistic, just... entirely different.

that time when you wondered if you'd seen all of his sides... now you were sure you had. this one was unlike any other you've seen.
