౨ৎ Jake and I were picking out a bodyguard for me since my parents and Jake think that I am in danger, it's a little annoying but I can't do anything about that.
"Nope, too old. His reaction time is probably slower than mine" "Nope, too chatty. He'll chew my ear off all day. Did you see his long nose hair? ew, Jake, ew" "What kind of self-respected bodyguard wears bright pink socks?" "His tie was crooked, and so were his teeth".
"You're just finding stupid reasons to reject everyone, my team took three days to compile this list" Jake said annoyed. "Look, this person has to spend every waking moment with me, and it has to be someone I'm comfortable with, next" I exclaimed frustrated.
As the door opened and I looked up, my jaw dropped to the floor, the guy who walked in was tall, dark, handsome and then some! He had skin like marble, cheekbones you could grate cheese on and intense blue eyes that pierced my soul.

You could tell through his clothes that he was ripped.
"Your name is Magnus, right?" Jake asked looking at the papers in his hand. "Your references seem excellent" Jake said taking another look at the papers. "He's hired!" I yelled while Jake gave me a confused look. "What? The interview isn't over, it's not even started" "excellent references right? That's all I need to know, you're hired magnet!" I responded back to Jake while I glanced over to Magnus, or was it magnet? "His name is Magnus..?" Jake said reminding me. "I know I'm not stupid. So you can start tomorrow, yes?" I asked while admiring Magnus. "I certainly can miss Marion". Oh my gosh, that voice! It was deep and had a serious tone with it. "Welcome to our home" I smiled until someone grabbed my arm. "After I've run a background check and consulted Marion's parents, Magnus, we'll be in touch" Jake snickered while Magnus nodded and turned to leave while Jake picked up an apple from the fruit bowl and shot it straight at him. Seconds before it was about to hit the back of his head Magnus turned around and caught it.
"What was that!" I criticised Jake. "Just checking his reflexes, not bad" Jake said staring Magnus while Magnus smirked and tossed the apple back to Jake before leaving and I sat down back onto the couch in a daze. "You are unbelievable!" Jake scolded me while pointing his big finger in my face "what, you were begging for me to hire one of your candidates and I did!" I said laying back onto the couch while rolling my eyes. "It's only because you think he's handsome or something!, Marion I don't have a good feeling about this guy, somethings off" "yes, his good looks are off the charts!" I laughed while Jake told me he was going to do a deep background check.
After Jake did his background check and found nothing off, my parents were happy to have Magnus on board and had him settled into a room right across from mine. I was thrilled but I had to make my giant crush on him not obvious.
The next morning ౨ৎ I woke up with a knock on my door, I was rolling around in my bed while groaning deciding to respond. "Come in" I said stretching my arms above my head. I was surprised to see who it was, "Magnus?". "I heard you were awake but I'm sorry for coming in, miss Marion, it's also time to get up for college" he replied with a serious tone. His voice made me have butterflies in my stomach, if only he wasn't so serious all the time. I got up and went to pick out my uniform, I had to wear a uniform since I go to a fancy college. He waited outside the door and I got changed, packed my bag and I went downstairs with Magnus following behind me. I could feel his stare while he was behind me. We went outside and he drove me to school. As I walked in with Magnus I could hear gasps and girls squealing.
Magnus ignored everyone and stood in the back of all my classes. "You're going to make a move on him, right?" My friend questioned while looking in the back corner at him "No!, that wouldn't even cross my mind.." I said back while I also glanced back at him, when I looked he was already staring right at me. I quickly turned back and looked back at my paper. Even my philosophy teacher was so distracted by his presence she dropped water on her desk, sat on her glasses and even tripped over a wire.
I finished school and we drove back to a quick store. I had to buy a dress for something so I changed into a red sparkly dress in the dressing room. When I got dressed into my dress I walked out and asked Magnus "How do I look in this dress" I said laughing. "It's not my job to have an opinion about your clothes, miss Marion" He said with his hand in his pockets while I rolled my eyes. "Oh gosh, the zip seems to be stuck, I'm not kidding, it's really not moving" I said while trying to pull the zip, I wasn't joking.
As Magnus came closer and his hands touched my back my heart started racing. "I'll call a store employee" Magnus said with his cold voice.
We went to a coffee shop and we sat down. "Why don't you eat something too?" I asked staring back up from my phone and putting it down. "I don't eat or drink on the job" "but you're on the job all the time? By the way, does it bother your girlfriend you're a bodyguard for such a beautiful girl" I said laughing "I don't have a girlfriend" he replied. I smiled but stopped as I remembered he was staring at me. "I have a knack for setting people up! So what's your type?" "The non-existent kind, we can go now ma'am".
I knocked on his door, it was late and he answered in a black compression top. "I've been working on a horror novel for oh uh years now and uh I think um that it's great, actually not really but uh um I just want an opinion on it and um-" I said not knowing what to say while he grabbed the book and shut the door. "A bit rude much.." I stated while he opened the door staring at me "just joking..!" I spoke while he shut the door once more.
I went to my bedroom changed and waited for the morning.
