(Boring ass title ik 😪)
CHESTERS POV:
Parker was heavy. Maybe it's because of his height or the amount of alcohol he had consumed over the night, but Chester was trying his best to keep his friend on his feet as they stumbled through the door of their house.
"Ah- watch it! Watch it! Don't fall on me, dude!"
One arm is wrapped around Parkers waist as the other snakes behind them to close the door, fumbling with the key until Chester is able to lock it.
"I'm fine dude..I don't need you to babysit me."
Parkers voice is slurred, and his legs are wobbly as Chester slowly leads him up to his bedroom, making sure to be extra careful on the stairs so he doesn't trip.
As they make it to Parkers bedroom, Chester gently drags the drunken Parker over to the bed, helping him onto it before removing the man's shoes for him, Chester has always hated shoes on the furniture.
"Alright. I'll go grab you a glass of water, don't move."
As Chester turned to leave the room, he felt Parkers hand wrap around his wrist, his grasp surprisingly tight for a drunk man. Looking back down at his friend and secret crush of many years, he swore he could see something in Parkers eyes that he had never seen before. He was looking up at Chester with his half lidded eyes, the way a puppy would stare at its owner when begging for food or company.
"What is it? Are you okay?"
Chester's voice is full of concern, his eyebrows knitting together in a worried expression.
"Stay..."
Is all Parker mutters out, yet Chester can't help but obey. Moving closer to the bed, he sits down on the edge of it, Parkers grip releasing his wrist as he does.
"Okay. Why?"
He questions curiously, and it takes longer than he would have liked for Parker to answer, but eventually, he does.
"I just like you being with me."
It's a half-assed answer, but it's enough to make Chester's heart pound against his chest. Parker wasn't usually an affectionate person, though not exactly mean, just private and sometimes a little harsher than he means to be. So Chester clung onto every nice word Parker said. They were very limited after all.
"Oh." Chester can't find the right words to say, so he doesn't say anything at all.
"I just..like you."
Oh.
Unsure of what exactly Parker means, yet too afraid to ask, Chester just sits in silence with those words for what feels like a lifetime, though it was closer to a minute.
"I uh..like you too, dude. You're my best friend!"
Chester's tone is playful, upbeat, unlike Parkers monotone and deeper one, though Chester's always liked his voice.
"No..not in that way. I like you."
Parkers words earn a sharp inhale from Chester, and he feels like he's going to choke on the air. Had he heard him right? Did Parker think he was someone else? He must. Chester just can't believe that his high school crush would ever feel the same way, how could he? He's straight, always ogling the different girls they help for their job, it just doesn't make sense to Chester.
"Um..I think you should just go to sleep dude. You're really drunk."
The worry is evident in Chester's voice, less focused on his own feelings and more on the safety of Parker.
PARKERS POV:
How is Chester so pretty? He's just sitting there, staring, yet the way the faint light of the moon cracks through the curtains and shines on him makes him look almost angelic. His hair looks almost blonde in the lighting, and so soft. How does he style it that way? Parker has never really asked that before, though he wonders about it sometimes.
"Will you stay?"
The words feel like they're falling from his mouth, like he's not really saying them, or like a thought bubble that Chester can hear. Parker wants him to stay, he always wants him to stay, but he can never bring himself to ask due to fear of being needy or co-dependent.
"Yeah..of course. I can sleep on the floor?"
The offer sounds almost comical to Parker, they had been best friends for so long and slept in the same bed so many times, yet this one night, Chester was offering to sleep on the floor.
"No. Sleep with me."
That sounded wrong, Parker thinks, but he's too lazy, or exhausted, or drunk to correct himself.
"Okay."
Parker shifts back a little on his rather small bed, making room for Chester as he climbs in next to him. They're now face to face, both laying on their sides just staring at each other, like they know. They know what the other wants to say. Maybe they have for awhile, but neither one has been bold enough to say the words.
"I like you Chester."
The words are repeated, but they're different this time, more concrete. He isn't saying it just to say it, and it isn't just drunken thoughts.
"I like you too Parker."
The room falls silent, a quiet understanding between the two. They both like each other, the feelings are reciprocated, and right now, that's all that matters.
Parker slowly inches his face closer to Chester's, as if he's waiting for him to pull away, but he doesn't, he moves closer too. As the gap between them is sealed, their lips press together in a gentle, yet long awaited and desperately needed kiss, their eyes falling shut to relax into it.
Allowing his drunk body and mind to take the wheel, Parkers hand moves up to the back of Chester's head, tangling in his oh so soft hair.
'It's sticky..hairspray. I knew it, nobody's hair looks that good naturally.'
Parker thinks as he runs the soft locks between his fingers.
CHESTERS POV:
Parkers hand is running through his hair. Chester's lips are pressed against his. And it feels amazing, he can't even find a word to describe it, not that he's searching for one as his mind is too busy being scrambled by the man kissing him.
Chester can taste whiskey on Parkers lips, and while he usually hates the taste of alcohol, he finds it oddly endearing on Parker.
His hand moves to rest on Parkers waist, pulling himself closer until their bodies are flushed against each other. The kiss was slow, but Parker was becoming bolder, more eager, and so was Chester. Their lips clash together, the only sound in the room coming from their mutual nose breathing, both men too engrossed in the kiss to pull away and take a proper breath.
Though eventually they have to. Chester is the first to pull away, soft panting and heavy breathing coming from his parted lips. His cheeks are tinted a soft red as his eyes flicker up to meet Parkers, and he physically feels a shiver through his whole body as their gazes meet in a haze of desperation, and unmistakably, love.
"Was that okay?"
Parker is the first to speak, which Chester is grateful for as he can feel his words caught in his throat.
"Definitely."
Chester responds breathlessly with a nod of his head.
Parker leans in again, planting a quick and simple yet somehow more intimate kiss on Chester's lips. The type you'd give to a boyfriend. Parker is his boyfriend. And Chester couldn't be happier.
