Chapter 2 Lunch With An Immortal Being

Chapter 2
----------- Dani's POV

After Riker picked me off of the ground. He carried me into Wendy's and I was just silent and wide eyed. He ordered for me and I just leaned on him. My brain was replying the scene over and over again. Riker passing through a transport truck over and over again. I felt myself shake lightly as we sat down with our food. "So... What are you?" I asked him after gathering myself.

Riker looked around the busy Wendy's. He had pulled me towards the back and sat us down at a little two person table. Riker had gotten enough food to feed 9 people and I only got some fries and a water.

"I'm your Guardian Angel!" Riker gave me a cute grin and I found myself sighing. He was so pretty.. Had beautiful blond hair and kind hazel eyes that sometimes looked brown. Suddenly that happy feeling drained out of me when he moved his foot away from mine. Riker cleared his throat "Sorry.. Whenever a magical being touches a mortal they get all happy and snugly inside. It's the energy from an immortal touching a mortal. We have a stronger energy bond! Sometimes if we try hard enough we can wake the dead!" Riker informed me and I tried to take it all in.

I had a guardian angel...A Guardian Angel! He could save my life! I suddenly wondered how many others had their own angels and told everyone they were their cousin.. Or friend! Or even dated them!

I found myself asking "Why me? Why do I get a guardian angel? And not someone else? I live a normal safe life!" Riker raised an eyebrow at me and swallowed whatever he had in his mouth and said "Well because everyone has one! And whenever my boss feels the time is right! We get sent to our mortal to help! Oh and by the way! Your talking to nobody!" He gave me a big cheesy grin and I looked around "Huh?"

"Well because I can make myself visible whenever I want! But only you can see or hear me when I go invisible!" Riker concluded. I slowly nodded blankly. But in my mind, my brain was on overdrive trying to process the fact that I was having lunch with an immortal being!

I leaned over the table and said "How much do you know about me?" I looked at Riker with narrowed eyes and he smirked "Well! Basically everything! You like green! Your favorite animal is a fox! You hate your height! You dig Strawberry ice cream the best! Pop and Rock music! Book nerd! Oh and like how you wet the bed till you were 12!" My face burned at that. He looked at me with a wider smirk "And how your to scared to kiss a guy! And you once threw up on your crush when you went to six flags!" Riker was about to continue but I shoved a fistful of fries in his mouth. I was ready to burst into tears because of how ashamed I felt. He knew everything! He most likely could just start spilling my secrets if I piss him off!

I finished my fries and stood up "Look! I'm glad your here to save my life and such! But please don't start spilling my secrets! I'm still trying to get over the fact that your an angel!" I said as I gathered my purse. He finished his food and went to throw our trash away. He came back and we walked past the crowd and outside. His arm touched mine and I instantly leaned on him. I felt so cuddly and secure and like I wanted to kiss his cute little face off! I looked up at him and felt a blush spread to my cheeks as I looked at his cute features.

When we stopped to wait for the cars to go by, Riker looked up at the sky with his gorgeous hazel eyes. I sighed and grinned at him, gosh he was so cute and sweet! He looked so deep and sensitive to..

I found myself fully turning towards him, I grabbed his hands and started to rise on my toes.

I felt his body tense and he cleared his throat. I slowly opened my eyes when I felt him moving.

Riker lightly removed himself from my touch as I went to lean up and kiss him. I blinked as my lips were about 5 inches from his. Riker looked at me like I was absolutely insane and I turned red. I shrank away and murmured "It was your magic touch..."

"Sure it was..." I heard Riker chuckle as we crossed the street to get back to school.

Hope you enjoyed Chapter 2! I felt like writing right now because it's pouring rain outside and I cannot leave my house! So I'm stuck inside while there's a huge storm!
