Chapter 14: Wake Me Up

Chapter 14
Dani's POV

(AND YES THE TITLE IS BASED ON ONE OF MY FAVE ED SHEERAN SONGS! DON'T JUDGE)

I stared at my father with my jaw dropped. 

"Oh thank you Daddy!"

I wanted to get up and hug him. But I was currently naked.
"Daddy could you give us a few minutes?" I asked kindly and he nodded, leaving the room.

I rolled over to face Riker, kissing his neck softly "Good Morning Angel.." I purred into his ear. My hands running down his chest. Riker rolled on me and groaned "I'm tired!" He tried to go back to sleep but I hit him. "You're crushing me!" I wrapped my arms and legs around his torso. Digging my nails into his skin until he yelped.

I laughed "We're so dysfunctional!" Kissing him softly with a smile. He instantly melted into me, his low voice murmuring "Maybe we could continue last night.." He smirked. His hand on my back. I instantly shook my head "My dad's in the next room Rik!" I hit his bicep and he pouted "You could always be quite!" 

"No!"

And before I knew it, it was 30 minutes later and I was stumbling out of the bedroom in shorts and trying to put on a shirt. Riker still inside.

Curse his persuasive genitals.

I swear The 1975 was playing in the background while we were having sex.. Jeez this kid turned me upside down.

I walked over to my dad. He looked pissed again. "You two finished?" He rolled his eyes when he saw me. I blushed and said "Yes Dad! We're done! And I know you and mom did that cause i'm here! And I don't get all fussy about it!" I then calmed down and hugged him "Thank you for helping us Daddy.. You're the best" I cooed into his ear. He hugged back and murmured "I haven't been there for you all your life. And I will this time.."

"Riker Anthony Lynch I swear I will end you if you buy me these flowers! I do not want or need them!"

I was currently arguing with my boyfriend who was trying to buy me flowers worth $45. I did not need these.

"But I want to! It's your favorite kind and you deserve them!"

"I will push you into hell myself!"

"How dare you!"

"I will Lynch!"

"I thought you were on my side!"

"You're about to be alone!"

"But.. I lo-" 

He was cut off by the person selling the flowers clearing their throat.

Riker grabbed the Daisies and paid the man. I facepalmed. But then stopped. 

He almost said that he loved me.. It would have been the first time..

I looked at the flowers with a soft smile. These we're the things that made Riker want to scream that he loved me.. And I didn't want them.. I felt so awful. Why would I scream at Riker for trying to buy nice things for me? I just.. I've never been treated this way and all I want from him is to curl up on the couch and watch Shrek 2 while holding his hand. Or watch the stars at night, or just giggle or gasp for air after a breathtaking love making session.

I reached out and grabbed his hand "I love them.. I'm sorry I yelled at you.. Nobody's ever treated me like this.. You loving me is the best thing I could ever receive from you.." I kissed him softly. 

He pulled away and smiled "You're the best thing i've ever had Princess.. Even if I loose.. I don't want you to be alone.. You need to move on okay?" He whispered softly.

I couldn't imagine being without him. Waking up alone, or not feeling his soft hair. Or hearing his voice in my ear. Or his warmth as we hugged. Listening to his heartbeat as his arms wrapped around me.

When I snapped into reality, I was crying hard. I let out a sob that had been caught in my throat. Shaking my head "I can't Riker! I need you.. If you get sent to hell! My life will be a living hell! I don't want to move on! You make the world brighter.. And when you're gone.. Everythings black and white! I will never be able to let go! I will throw myself in after you! I don't want to imagine loosing you.." I whispered.

Riker got to my level and wiped away my tears "I'm never leaving you, okay? I will fight for you. I will always and never give up. You're the love of my life.. I love you Danielle Alexis Lawrence"

I felt myself choke up even more. I grabbed his face and whispered "I love you to Riker Anthony Lynch.."

We just stood there in the middle of the park staring into each other's eyes. Nothing could have been more perfect.

"Okay is this Majora's Mask? It's like there's a giant moon hovering over me! Counting down the time till my death!" Riker groaned.

We were currently working out case tactics in the bedroom. Shrek 2 playing in the background. Trying to calm us. But it was only slightly working.

I was on my knees. The bed below me. I was only just Riker's height. He paced and I finally grabbed his shoulders. "It's okay to be fine! My dad is great and you're so sweet! Plus i'm an angel now! You could say you we're giving me CPR?" I knew it wouldn't work but I had to atleast make him laugh.

He let out a chuckle. "Us stripping and making out isnt CPR. I have the scars to prove it!" He lifted up his shirt to reveal white marks made by my nails. I blushed and mumbled "Oops.. You were asking for it! I swear! You gave me bite marks!"

We both sighed. Reminiscing on the days where we had no worries stung. 

"Everything has changed.." Riker looked at me with sadness.

"We made these memories for ourselves.. Where hearts were never broken.. And was forever frozen in the most wonderful moments.." I looked at him with a small smile.

"We really need to fix this don't we..?" Riker said. His voice cracking.

I gave him a small nod and pulled him into bed where we just cuddled and watched Shrek.

I made this chapter sweet because the next chapter.. It's Dooms Day. The day of the court. We're finally here! Woo!
