Blood and Crimson Vines
(A Hels To Pay based one shot)

A/N: All rights for the story and the character designs for the Hels to Pay Au belong to Lunarcrown and aquaquadrant on Tumblr. It is an excellent fic, and I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already. Also, it is not specified how Patho lost his eye or arm so this is just my interpretation of it. Also Alisker is the Hel counterpart to Keralis and is really hard to write so please give me some slack. Dbubs is hels bdubs, Patho is Hels Etho, and Instinct is Impulse.
This is one I wanted to write in my own and one I thought up on my own
Pairing: Patho and Dbubs
Type: angst, maybe some fluff at the end
Description: Long ago in Hels before Bravo, before the Tango Tek Blaze farm, a player found himself lost in the woods. Unbeknownst to him, the lost player finds refuge in the dark forest, he had never been on this side of Hels when a growl in the night startles him awake.
TW: Blood, Violence, Gore, Cursing, Shipping (nothing bad), character death, body horror, eyes, injury

Patho was a hero of sorts in Hels, as he was the person who had figured out data analysis. He was one of the oldest players known in the history of Hels. Let alone the fact that he was one of the more closed-off players, he was normally very hard to find. Slipping a hand through his hair, he tugged the white locks back, pulling his hair into a bun. A small chirping sound came from the pocket of his bomber jacket. He tugged the comm out of his pocket, narrowing his eyes.

A whisper appeared on his comm from Alisker, and he stopped leaning back against one of the basalt spires behind him. Reading over the message, he thought of what to say to Alisker. His eyes flickered over the message multiple times as he read it over in his mind.

'Hollo, sweet face, I  wanted to know if I got to see dat face again. I know I jus asked ya to swing by, but I fink I got you a new job,' the message from Alisker read. Rolling his eyes some, he kicked a rock across the netherrack. He watched as the rock skidded across the rocky, red ground and through some fire before dropping from a ledge into a lava pool.

He stood up straighter, and stretched, cracking his back, before he quickly returned to his slouched position. He quickly typed up a message. He had a small smile playing on his lips as he typed it up.

'Yeah, yeah, I am on my way right now, actually, Papa Al.' he sent the message very quickly before sending another whisper to the crime boss he was on his way to visit, 'I know not to keep you waiting, Papa Al.'

There was no reply from the other after that so Patho just pressed on, slipping his hands into the pockets of his oversized jacket. He sucked in a breath, closing his eyes. He enjoyed the smell of burning and even the smell of sulfur in the air. All that filled the eerieness around the male was the sound of his boots softly tapping the ground below him, the sounds of nearby players fighting, and the faint popping of bubbles from the lava river beside him. He just tuned out the sounds of the other Hels players fighting as he walked toward New Helington. He knew the longer he kept Alisker waiting, the more the male would get upset.

He hated how he had to leave Dbubs so early so he could get to the city on time. He looked down at his arm and ran a finger over it; the phantom feeling of the crimson vines was still there. He sighed softly as he muttered to himself, "I'm sorry, Dbubs... I'll try to be quick, I'll hopefully be back soon." Not like he exactly cared about the little crimson vine creature. He just really enjoyed the company, and hell, he even got a clock out of it. Slipping a hand from his pocket, he brushed his fingers over the smooth, golden surface of the clock. Not like it was needed in Hels; he just really enjoyed having it on him.

He continued the walk to New Helington, his heavy boots hitting the ground, sending debris and rocks scattering across the netherrack. He knew how to build a flying machine but what was the point of building something so large that would just probably cause attention to him? Patho knew that the other Hels players were scared of him, but there was the occasional player who thought they were so high and mighty. Those types of battles would always bring a small smirk to the player's lips.
