2~Old woman

Solitude embraced me as I sat alone near the ancient mountain temple, now deemed abandoned by most. Over the years, this sanctuary had lost its visitors, but since my childhood, it remained my refuge from life's tribulations ,It was my escape, where I forgot my problems and found peace in my own world.

"Are you alone here ?" melodious voice whispered, gently pulling me out of my reverie.

I turned around to behold an enchanting sight—a venerable woman with perfectly styled, glistening white hair, adorned in an elegant dress, and gracefully holding a polished wooden stick, as she ascended the temple stairs towards me.

" um , yes I am "

" I love this place too"

not sure what to respond at that moment ,so I nodded politely.

"Do you believe in Her ? " she asked again breaking the silence

" Who?" I replied, my face displaying a mixture of curiosity and bewilderment.

Her eyes, like radiant stars, locked onto mine, and a genuine happiness warmed her face as she pointed gracefully to the temple behind us. "Her " she said, her voice carrying a sense of profound reverence.

My heart weighed heavy with a sorrowful sigh, and I replied, "God ? No! They don't exist"

"and what made you think like that ?" she came and sat near me

"It's just that, if they really do exist, how come I never got what I always wished for?" I questioned with a hint of frustration.

She looked at me calmly, "Because you didn't deserve that." Her words held a touch of honesty that cut through the uncertainty in the air.

"Huh ? what do you mean?" I felt a pang in my chest, her words made me furious

"that was not meant for you " she said

"You are right ! I KNOW , I know I don't deserve anything , I am not good for anything and nothing is meant for me " my eyes become teary unknowingly and I felt absolutely shattered .

She looked at me earnestly, " Wrong ! You deserve more than that ! ,

You are destined for something that Only you can do , something perhaps even those who possess great power might fail at"

"and How can you be so sure? What do you really know?" I asked in disbelief.

"I know many things " she smiled " what do you wish to know first " She asked confidently.

It seems like she was mocking me and that made me even more furious 

"Nothing," I replied, grabbing my bag as I headed home.

Undeterred by my response, the old woman's smile persisted, and she replied with an aura of wisdom, "One day, you will believe in everything that never existed before "

I stood there for a few moments, trying to fathom the essence of her words. But when I finally snapped out of my daze, the mysterious woman had vanished, leaving behind an aura of mystique.

"what was that ?" I murmured to myself, trying to shake off the enchantment that had embraced me.

With a lingering gaze at the majestic temple, I felt an unexpected pull towards its captivating allure. As I headed back home, my thoughts were still lingering on the encounter with the old woman and her enigmatic words.
