"Why did you go to for a drive all of a sudden?" Maithali asked as soon as they settled at the dining table. They tried answering her question but she further said, "Yami got hurt and you both wanted to go for a drive. Just great!""Ma-"
"What Ma?!" She shouted.
"He was very stressed about the accident so I thought to take him for a drive."
"Then you should've tak-"
"Let it be Mithi. Must've been something." Raghav cut her off.
"Luv, I got honeymoon tickets for you and Ruhika." He said handing out the tickets.
"Dad, you didn't have to." Ruhika said. Luv agreed with her.
"Okay then, your mother and I will go. It has been long since we went on a trip alone." Everyone laughed at his response.
"Stop being so nice and take it."
"Kush, I got you and Yuvati-" he stopped mid-sentence when he saw Yuvati coming down.
"Beta, did they sleep?"
"Yes ma." She said and went to the living room excusing herself.
"Kush, I got you and Yuvati honeymoon tickets as well." Poor Kush who had just eaten his favourite dish choked on it. The spice spread all over his tongue and thorax.
"What did you say dad?" He said after being normal.
"I got you honeymoon tickets."
"Raghu, she has an interview tomorrow! How will they find time? It is necessary for the company to give her the leave and I am sure she won't get it just after joining the job. They don't even give a sick leave nowadays after recently joined."
"She has an interview tomorrow?!" He exclaimed unaware of the fact.
"She didn't tell you?" He denied.
"Maybe because you guys did not get time by the hassle caused." Aanya said.
"Oh yes." He agreed with her.
"You both are happy with the marriage, right?" Aakriti asked.
"Huh?" He paused for a moment confused from the sudden question and answered, "Absolutely! It's just that we got married yesterday and we had had a hard time 7 years ago."
He smiled. He smiled but it was clearly visible it was fake. It neither reached his eyes nor did his eyes glisten. They were sad. They were lost in the darkness of the cruel world seeking for warmth to help them. "Why ask?"
"It was forced and you said something about 7 years so. Yuvati and you behave weird around each other. There is some weird kind of tension between you two most of the time. Oh! Why didn't she eat with us?"
"Her stomach is upset." Kush answered.
"Oh!" Everyone unknowingly heaved a sigh of relief thinking that everything was well but they didn't know the truth. "I will give you medicine. Tell her to take it before going to bed." He nodded.
"Aanu, are those two who came yesterday, your coworkers?" She and Kush stopped eating and looked at Niyati.
Kush was about to answer say something when Aanya spoke, "Maasi, we were together in college. Kamini was with me and Krishak was with Bhai. And yes, they're our coworkers. We had an issue at work because of which, we fought about it."
Her small smirk dropped as she had thought they were Yuvati's enemies or bullies by seeing how the poor girl had gotten a panic attack. After everyone retired to their rooms, Aanya got food for Yuvati. Yuvati's mouth watered but she kept denying.
"Eat it quietly!" Yuvati made a morsel with difficulty and ate it. "Happy?"
"Not until the plate is clean." Yuvati huffed and continued eating. "Atleast feed me! I can not eat with left!" Aanya chuckled at her whines and fed her.
"You slept last night?" Yuvati shook her head in denial with her mouth full. Aanya sighed and continued feeding her until the plate was clean.
"Try sleeping today." Aanya said after coming back. "I can't sleep, Aanu! And when are the designers coming? Yami's room is to be done."
"Luv Bhai said that they will come by two days later. Until then everyone will go back."
"When are they going back?"
"Mama and Nanu Nani are going back tomorrow night. Bua and Maasi are going back day after tomorrow." Yavati nodded.
"You can go sleep. I will change." Aanya nodded and said, "Yuvi, try sleeping." She hummed. "No hmm hmm! Go change I will stay till you sleep!"
"No! You go sleep! I have to talk to your brother about something."
"He is your husband!"
"Can you leave?!" She whisper shouted.
"Fine!" Aanya stomped off to her room. Yuvati looked at her daughter. She pecked her foreheads and the girl snuggled into her warmth further more.
"Baby, I promise you one thing. I will not let Krishak and Kamini live peacefully now. Not after they are trying to hurt us again. And if someone else hurts you, even if it's your father, I will not hesitate to hurt them back." Her vision blurred. She harshly wiped off the tears from her eyes and changed into comfortable wear. She came out and saw Kush sitting on the bed thinking about something.
His long chain of thoughts was broken when he felt the bed sink down beside him. He looked at Yuvati who was going through her phone. A pair of clothes grabbed his attention and he looked at them and recollected his questions which were forgotten in Yuvati's presence.
"Mrs. Kapoor?" He said grabbing Yuvati's attention. She turned her gaze from her phone to him.
"You have an interview tomorrow?"
Nodding to his question, she averted her gaze back to her phone. All of a sudden they heard lewd noises coming from the open balcony door. They went out to the balcony and gasped. Luv and Ruhika looked at them. "What?"
"Didi, Bhai, shouldn't you-" Ruhika cut her off and said, "Tell him! Unable to control his horny ass." Kush burst out laughing.
"Well Ruhika, you will end up having a hard time with him." Yuvati went back in with Kush behind her holding his stomach from laughing too much. She got inside the covers and so did Kush.
"You're going to sleep here?" She asked shifting a bit away from him.
"Umm...yeah. This is our bed. Before you sleep, I want to ask you about tomorrow." She didn't say anything. "Where is your interview?"
"I don't think you need to know. I won't allow you to drop me anyways." She said and turned. Her back was facing him now.
"Mrs. Kapoor?"
"Mr. Kapoor, I have to wake up earlier so let me sleep!" Soon they slept without knowledge. The eyes, the mind and the body which longed for slumber were finally supported. There were visions in the darkness than anything else. There were silent snores filled in the room which once was as quiet as an anechoic chamber at night. The moon cast its silvery light in the room.
