MICHIZOU TACHIHARA POV:
I padded my way back through the port mafia headquarters, in all reality I could've just returned back to my apartment, but I had left some documents I needed to catch up on in my desk draw.
I made sure that my steps were light, I didn't want Hirostu or especially Gin to have known I was out during work hours. I knew I would be safe, unless someone saw me that was.
"Tachihara." Grumbled a harsh voice, slightly rolling the 'r' in my name. Then followed a light cough after.
I knew that voice from miles away.
"Akutagawa.." I gulped.
"You dare to 'Akutagawa' me after slacking off work?! You're lucky I'm not telling the boss anything about this."
Now, Akutagawa wasn't exactly the brightest ray of sunshine ever. However, it was easily evident he didn't want anything bad to happen to anyone. He did care for us all, but he just wasn't very great at showing it. When we had found out what happened on the ship with Fukuchi we were completely devastated. In the mafia, it's not often you find people from your biological family, so you make your own out of the people who are there. That day, it felt like I had lost my brother, Hirotsu as though he had lost a child, but Gin had lost their biological brother. We didn't hear from them for days, so we all tried are absolute hardest to stay strong just for them. Akutagawa was someone in our lives who we really couldn't lose, we are more than lucky to have him here in the Port.
"I wasn't doing anything bad, I can promise you that."
"Right, whatever. I need you to go out and speak to the mover, his name is..."
"Junichiro Tanizaki." I cut him off.
"Oh yeah, that." He muttered, looking me up and down. "You know him or something?"
"I mean, I guess I do, yeah." I laughed slightly and began to back away.
"Hm. Whatever, now hurry along would you? We don't have long before he needs to make an arrival and we must keep an eye out at all times to ensure he doesn't get away." He shrugged and turned around.
"Yeah, yeah I understand what you mean. Bye, Akutagawa!"
"Yeah, goodbye Tachihara." He stated with the familiar roll of the 'r'.
I spun on my feet and ambled out of the Port headquarters. On the seemingly long and dreaded walk to the elevator, I did manage to come across a few familiar faces. Such as Chuuya for example, he thanked me dearly for the wine and told me he would make it up for me as equally when my next birthday came around. How nice of him! I know quite well he's not poor either, shit that man is fucking rich rich. I've got no clue where he gets it from, but at the end of the day he is the most powerful man out of the lot of us, so I can understand it. Honestly, I'd love to be an executive one day, not for the money as such - more for the label and the sheer power it grants you.
As I stepped out of the elevator, a wave of energy and exhilaration hit me all of a sudden. I picked up my walking pace and at the second i reached the door, I began to sprint right towards the Armed Detective Agency.
JUNICHIRO TANIZAKI POV:
"Leaving in a hurry are we Tanizaki?"
My heart stopped.
"Relax yourself."
Relax? Fucking relax? What a joke.
I turned around in an instant. Fuck, I couldn't care less anymore who was about to approach me. Whether it was 100 men with guns or 1 child trying to play a game with me, I just didn't care.
However, my panic stopped when I was met with a face I guess I could now call 'familiar'.
"Tachihara?" I mumbled, quieter than what I had originally intended.
"Woah, what the fuck happened to you?" He questioned.
"I don't even fucking know at this point, to be fully honest with you."
He sat down on the end of the pavement next to me. Pulling out his phone and checking the time, it read "5:58pm".
"Hey, what time do you finish work?" Tachihara inquired, seemingly intrigued to find out the answer.
"Depends, I don't really get called on missions a lot so i'd say usually about 6:30pm, why do you ask?"
"How about you go and ask them if you can get let off early? We can go out for a while if you want to? Seems like you need to clear your head a bit and i'm sure being with the agency wouldn't help much." He added.
"I mean, yeah I could. They'd probably let me leave at this time anyway, tomorrow is my last day so i've got longer to.."
I looked down and my breath shook as I began picking at the skin on my nails yet again.
"Hey, you don't need to explain it any further if it bothers you, I understand don't worry. Now stop making your poor fingers bleed and let's go somewhere!" Tachihara dictated, standing up and smiling.
"Where would we go? It's starting to get dark and we don't have anything to defend ourselves with in case something happens." I stressed.
"Well, I've got a little secret to tell you Tanizaki. But you'll have to wait until we're out. We can go round the docks? I know a couple bars or cafes and restaurants if you're not a big drinker." He replied.
"Tachihara, do I really look in the right state to get drunk right now?"
"I mean.."
"Actually, don't answer that."
"Whatever you say!" He taunted.
"Oh hush. I'll go and ask them all now."
"Yeah, yeah! Good luck man!"
THIRD PERSON POV:
Tanizaki made his way back into the agency and through the cafe below it. Whilst Tachihara stayed outside and waited patiently for his newly found friend and new familiar face to come back out.
