I ran around in my house, my feet lightly tapping on the solid floor. Toga was chasing me with a fake sword.
"I'll get you!"
It was nice seeing her smile. I swear when the adults were speaking about Toga and her so-called differences, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and anger welling up inside me.
Toga was just a child, and it seemed unfair that she was being judged and labeled based on her behavior. It reminded me of my birthplace before I've fell into the underground. I froze as Toga shouted.
"WAIT!"
Her voice has a playful tone to it.
"Let's play outside!"
She giggled, pointing towards the door. As I turned over the door before I could reply she had already booked it for it. To me, it was something else. How quickly time passed. She is someone I have known for a long time already. Well, more like 3 weeks.
I chased after her outside. The outside was silent, save for the rustling of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds, and the cars driving by. The sun shone down, illuminating the path ahead. The air was fresh and crisp, with a light breeze rustling the trees. The colors around me were vibrant, with blues, greens, and browns blending together to create a beautiful landscape. I saw tiny flowers scattered across the forest floor, their petals fluttering in the wind, as I pursued Toga.
The sound of running water could be heard in the distance, adding to the serene atmosphere. My eyes widened as I saw Toga running straight into the open streets while holding a phony sword in her hands. She was slightly ahead of me. As soon as I heard the beep, my heart leaped forward. I yanked Toga and myself aside, shoving us aside with my feet as the car drove by.
"Are you alright?"
With a slight tremble, I asked Toga as she pulled away from me and laughed. "Pfft! That was awesome! Ichika! You were like a hero!" Her comment surprised me, and I laughed with her as my face heated up.
"Me? A hero? Hahah!" I chuckled, like that was a joke.
Toga pouted as she came to a halt in her laughter. "Yes, you are a hero. You sound like you can't be one. You're kind, caring, strong, and determined. Ichika can be the best hero."
Oh, a hero? I have not considered becoming one. In this world, heroes do exist. Maybe being one will make it easier for me to figure out how to get back home. Frisk, what are your thoughts?
(Becoming a hero? I like Toga idea. We should do it, Chara! (It may help us in the long run.)
Her mind heard Frisk's voice, and she grinned as she glanced at her overly animated partner.
"Alright. I'll become a hero and find my way back."
Chara spoke up, her goal in sight..
"Huh...? Find your way back...where?"
Toga slanted Her head, her hands resting in her lap. Her hair was blowing in the breeze. "Where would you need to go?"
"Do not worry, just get up! Come on!" Chara urged, pulling herself up from the cold floor, "let us resume our game before it is too late."
Her clothes were a little dirty from falling onto the floor, so she dusted off her laced white and red dress with small flower patterns.
