Wednesday

The only comfort Tom found the last 2 days was looking at his phone. Scrolling through pictures of Olivia that he took of her. He was posting on his very public Facebook page pictures of her asking people for their prayers. He got an overwhelming response. Rob, Julian, and Danny all had shared pictures, along with their girlfriends, that Tom had never seen before.

The picture Tom could not stop looking at was the one of Olivia smiling back at him during the Luke Bryan concert they went too when she was in Boston. Tom didn't really like country music but she begged him to take her and he would do anything to see her smile like that again. Her smile was intoxicating especially that night. He managed to get front row tickets for the two of them. He just posted a video of her singing Little Willy, but she changed Willy to Livvy. She didn't want to go back home so she changed the words to be Little Livvy Livvy won't go home, but you can't push Livvy round, Livvy won't go. Or the pictures that he wouldn't post, like the one of her reaching to the top shelf wearing short shorts and his sweatshirt.

She had visitors coming in and out all the time, but Tom never left. Her mom and dad, her brother and sister and their families, Emily, Seth, and Zach, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that Tom never met until now. How unfortunate the circumstances. Tom had been crying a lot, that even when he felt like crying, he couldn't. He was all cried out.

Tom called Coach Belichick and told him what had happened to Olivia. Belichick told him to take us much time as he needed, that his spot on the team would remain the same. He said to stay with Olivia as long as he was back for Sunday. Tom didn't know what he would do if Olivia didn't wake up by Sunday.

Tom grabbed Olivia's hand. "Hey baby girl, are you in there? We miss you out here. I have been talking to you a lot lately. It's really weird me doing all of the talking, and you not answering me. If you were awake right now you would have hit me right there. You've had a lot of visitors. The nurses say you have had the most on this floor. A lot of people are pulling for you to wake up. Why don't you do us all a favor and open those beautiful brown eyes of yours? You have accomplished the impossible and you don't even know it. The man of steel broke down crying when I told him. I don't think anyone has ever seen Rob cry. Baby girl, I need you to wake up. I don't think I can last in this life without you here. I know we haven't been together for long but you have taken over my every thought and I can't stand the thought of losing you. So please wake up angel, please," Tom said to her with a tear rolling down his cheek and looking down.

"You missed me," a groggy voice said quietly. Tom quickly looked up. He pulled her in tightly, letting the tears overpower him and roll down his cheek.

"Oh my god! I didn't know if you would come back to me! I did miss you! You are not wrong about that. God, I love you," Tom told her. Olivia's sister, Julia, came in the door and let out a gasp but the couple was too invested in each other to notice. Julia had tears in her eyes just watching them. She took a picture of them cuddling together. It was such sweet moment. Then Olivia's mom and dad, and brother walked in. They all ran over to her and had a big group hug. Her brother, Ryan, told her to never do that again as her mom and dad kissed her forehead. Tom left the family be for a little bit. Julia sent him the picture she took and he took to Facebook and said Thank you all for your support through this difficult time. My angel woke up this afternoon, after being in a coma for the last two days. She was in a major car accident due to a drunk driver. Please be safe and don't allow yourself to let this happen to anyone else. You are all amazing. Thank you.

Tom left the hospital for the first time since he got there. As he walked out of the hospital he was bombarded by paparazzi asking him questions about Olivia's state. He ignored them and got in his rental car and went to Walgreens to pick up Olivia's favorite flavor of ice cream.

"Hey gorgeous," Tom said as he walked in Olivia's hospital room "I brought you something." He said as he grabbed the ice cream out of the bag. She smiled so bright. "Do you have any idea how beautiful you look right now?"

"Tom, stop. I can just imagine how disgusting I look," Olivia replied.

"Don't ever say that again. You could not shower for weeks, and not fix yourself up at all and you would still be the most beautiful woman on this planet," Tom said sincerely. This caused Olivia to blush. Tom's phone started buzzing. It was a Facetime request from Rob. He answered it but didn't show Olivia yet. Hey man. Any news yet? "Any news on what?" Tom replied. Olivia was cracking up in the background. On Olivia? Is she up yet? Then Tom turned the camera to Olivia. The whole gang must have been over the Rob's because then there was a big cheer. It made Tom happy to know that his girl was safe and that his friends genuinely cared about her.

"There are a lot of reporters and stuff outside waiting for you to make your grand exit," Tom told Olivia when they got done with their Facetime.

"Tom, when do I get to leave?" Olivia asked.

"You're pretty banged up baby girl. You have a concussion , scratches all over you, and a broken collarbone. I heard Doctor Detry say at least another two days," Tom told her. "The second we get the all clear to get you out of here, we will, I promise. Hang in there baby girl," he said kissing her forehead.
