Just a quick note that I'm writing in first person from now on because it's just too confusing writing in third for me >.< Enjoy this first official (and PROOF READ, yes) chapter!
If you haven't read the first book yet then STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING! There will be quite a few spoilers in this story so DO NOT read on if you haven't read the first book called "Bring Him Back"! This is a sequel to that book and unless you've read that you probably won't understand anything.
However, if you've read it and are a reader from that book...HI THERE! WELCOME BACK!

"Don't be nervous." I reassured Lucas who was fiddling with his fingers.
"I'm not nervous!"
"Then stop putting your fingers in a knot!" my hands reached out to grab his. I held them tight and he finally froze.
"Thanks..." his tense expression faded and we smiled at each other. We stood next to the corner of the lockers where no one would pay attention to us, "But what if someone brings up...You know...-"
"The time you brought out a knife and attacked me?" I finished for him. He nodded slowly in response. "I'll back you up, don't worry Lucas, just calm down."
Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see Maya and Farkle.
"You love birds coming in yet?" asked Maya.
My cheeks heated up and Maya smirked.
"Yeah, let's go."
Maya and Farkle went inside, I was about to follow them when Lucas grabbed my wrist, spinning me around and pulling me into a hug.
"I'm scared." he whispered weakly.
"Don't be. I'm here for you, remember?"
Lucas nodded and stepped away.
"Alright. Here goes nothing..."
We walked into the classroom together and immediately; multiple sets of eyes burned into us, especially Lucas. Their eyes were filled with hatred, fear and confusion.
I guess hitting the teacher's daughter isn't such a kind gesture.
He stopped beside me, rigid with panic. Knowing what I had to do to avoid a situation; I stepped forward.
"Well don't you all have something else to do besides staring rudely at a returning student?" I yelled.
Everyone glared at him for a second longer before getting into their seats and whispering to each other. It was obvious what they were talking about.
I put my arm across Lucas's shoulder and guided him to his seat.
"Just ignore them, Lucas. They're not worth it." I whispered into his ear. Bad vibes were coming off him as he sat down.
Footsteps could be heard behind me and I looked towards the sound to see my dad entering the classroom. His dark grey shirt was buttoned all the way up and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows (which, to be honest, made him look kind of stupid).
"Settle down class. We're going to begin soon." he announced as he put down his briefcase on the table. I heard someone raise their hand up from the back of the classroom, "Yes Ryan?"
"Sorry sir but there is no way I'm going to learn properly knowing that there's a murderer in the room! He killed his own parents!"
Everyone gasped. Even I did.
