I began to feel the miles pile up behind me. Far from you, I only longed to be farther. I love you, I swear. But the fact that I can't help you is too much and combined with where I was there, I just couldn't.
I'm so ashamed, I can't even smile. Not physically, not mentally. I've left the radio off with no plans of turning it on.
My thoughts are the only thing I can hear anyways.
Buzzing through my head
Consulting my heart, and considering turning around.
But my right foot sits steady on the gas.
