Chapter 5

3rd person Pov

Y/n woke up early that morning and immediately got ready. After she was fully prepared, she drove to the Hybe building for practice and even work on writing some songs if she has time.

As Y/n got in the building, she immediately went to the elevator. The elevator took her to the 3rd floor where her group's practice room was. When she walked there she went past the NewJeans practice room. She looked around and saw that there was only two members there, Haerin and Danielle. She just shrugged and walked to their practice room.

When she entered, she was immediately greeted by her members. Y/n is the 2nd youngest in her group so she was part of the maknae line.

"Good morning, Y/n-ah."

Hazel greeted her, Hazel was the oldest of their group and the leader too.

"Good morning, unnie."

Y/n replied and bowed to the other members and greeting them too.

Eventually they were all practicing for their new comeback. They then had a water break. Y/n immediately layed down on the floor, feeling exhausted.

Their maknae, Ji-hieun. Gave her a bottle of water. Ji-hieun had to be one of the sweetest member.

"Here you go, unnie."

She handed Y/n the water bottle as Y/n immediately took it and drank it almost immediately.

"Thank you, Ji-hieun-ah."

Y/n said and patted the maknae's head.

After a few more practices...

Y/n headed out of the practice to got to the comfort room. When she accidentally bumped into someone pretty badly causing them to fall to the ground.

"I am so sorry! Here."

Y/n helped the girl get up and realized that it was Haerin-shi.

"It's alright, sunbae. I'm okay, how about you? Are you hurt?"

Haerin-shi asked. She was actually worried.

"I'm okay, Haerin-shi. I just want to make sure your okay. I'm sorry for bumping into you, I was just a little distracted."

Y/n shyly said but didn't break eyes contact. Y/n somehow felt nervous around Haerin for some reason.

"And please, you can just call me Y/n or Y/n unnie. I don't mind at all."

Y/n said and smiled. Haerin smiled back and nodded.

"Alright then, Y/n unnie. I'll get going now though."

Haerin said, and bowed. Both bid their goodbyes.

After Haerin left, Y/n sighed in relief.

"Why did I feel nervous around her? It feels so weird." Y/n thought to herself and walked to the bathroom once again.

Haerin Pov

After that little interaction with Y/n unnie, I felt very giddy for some reason. I went back to the practice room with a smile, thinking about Y/n unnie's cute smile. Eventually I was snapped out of my thoughts when Minji unnie was pointing out how I was smiling so much for some reason.

"Haerin-ah, who got you smiling like that?"

Minji unnie teased. And the rest of the members joined in too.
