Part 3: Missing

(Zane's POV) 

Kawaii-Chan and I heard Kim, Aphmau, and Aaron frantically calling our names at the door. I opened it, and saw Aaron holding a bloody, barely alive Mac. KC pulled me towards the couch. "Zane! Help her!" She runs over to Aphmau, who starts frantically explaining what happened. I turn my focus to Mac. She's clearly been stabbed several times, and is still bleeding...I don't think she'll live, but I'm not about to tell them that without trying first. I carefully clean the wounds, and bandage them, noting with slight relief that none of her vital organs have been punctured. Mac's breathing is slowly starting to slow down. I turn to Aph with a concerning realization. "Wait, where was Noi, Pierce and Ein?!" Aphmau's eyes widen. "Oh no..." She says under her breath. I could see Aaron standing in the corner, staring at the blood on bis arms. He was probably having flashbacks. I gestured to the bathroom, and he nodded, heading in there to clean himself off. Aphmau had called an ambulance by this time, and they pulled up outside of the house, coming and grabbing Mac, and taking her to the hospital. I explained to a officer that three of our 'friends' were missing, and they agreed to look for them. I pulled Aphmau into my arms and consoled her while she cried. I might not like Ein and Pierce that much, but I was worried about them, if only because Aph cared. Aaron came out of the bathroom, and Aphmau ran into his arms, and I hugged KC. "How did we not hear them?" Kawaii-Chan whispered, and when I really thought about it, we had heard. We had heard them screaming, and brushed it off. Now I really feel bad...

(Ein's POV)

I woke up. I think that's worth mentioning, considering the circumstances. I squinted my eyes, trying to focus them. I looked to my right, and saw Pierce, but he had...horns?! What had happened to him?! What had these people done?! I realized my wolf ears and tail were out, and tried to hide them, but I was too weak to do so. With a jolt, I realized where we were. My 'fathers' lab. No. No, no, no, no! NOT AGAIN! I tried to free myself for the restraints but was unable to. This couldn't happen again! I heard footsteps approaching, and panicked even more. I saw my 'fathers' face come into frame, and he laughed. "Welcome back Ein! And thanks for bringing some friends!" MONSTER! "LET THEM GO! I DON'T CARE IF YOU KEEP ME, JUST LET THEM GO!" I yelled, desperate. Nothing could happen to them. NOTHING.  My 'father' laughed maniacally, and shook his head. "No, I don't think I'll let them go. It gives me control over you! You've become soft!" He shakes his head, still laughing. I grit my teeth. "What did you do to Pierce?!" I ask, forcing myself to not growl. "Oh, I actually didn't do anything. Your 'friend' isn't from this planet. He's a Daemos." My 'father' leaves the room. A Daemos? What is that? Even if it does exist, Pierce is from earth...right? I noticed a bottle on the table next to me, and realized it was bottled night. Hadn't Kim wanted this for a potion? My face pales as I remember she mentioned it works similarly to forever potions, but it makes it so the effects last much longer, and eventually gives the person void burns. Were they going to use that on us?! 

(Aaron's POV)

I went to Ein's backyard to try and find clues. I mean, if they were kidnapped, then the people who took them would have a getaway vehicle, right? Sure enough, when I got there, there was tire tracks on the ground. I could faintly smell blood. I glanced at the sky, and noticed it was going to rain soon, and started following the scent. I barely got past his fence when the downpour started, and the scent was washed away. I growled in frustration. I turned towards my house, but heard a noise in the bushes. I spun around, and saw a person's figure dashing away. I ran inside my house, locking the door behind me. I pressed against the door. Was someone watching me? I looked out the window, but didn't see anything. Aphmau came into the room with a towel. "Aaron? Are you okay?" she asked. "Someone was watching me." I murmured, taking the towel. "What?!" Aph exclaimed. "Someone was in the bushes." I say, pointing to where they had been. There was nothing there now, but I knew they had been there. It was strange. I felt like they were right next to me, but I knew they weren't. I sat down on the couch.

*There's nothing I can see. Just blackness. "Aaron...I can't reach you..." Aph's voice? I hear my own reply. "Who... are you?" It must have been after the void burns...but before Lucinda fixed my vision... I hear pain in Aph's voice as she says "Aaron?" It hurts me to remember these events, but I don't want to tell the others that I can remember some. I don't want to worry them.*

(Noi's POV)

My head throbs painfully, and I groan. Fricking frying pan! I can't open my eyes, it hurts too much...but I hear...Pierce? "What did you do to Noi?! Why is he bleeding?!" I'm bleeding...I'm bleeding?! I force my eyes open, and can see several men pinning Pierce against the wall. One of them are holding a taser. Are they going to shock Pierce?! Pierce catches my eye for a brief instant, and then they shock him. He screams in pain, and then falls to the ground as the men drop him. Two of them drag Pierces limp body away, and I watch in horror as they approach Ein. I pretend to be asleep. "So. Are we going to use bottled night, or forever potions?" There's a pause. "Forever potions on my son and the Daemos, but the other one could probably tolerate the bottled night." Me. They were talking about me...but what was bottled night?! I had no clue what it was, but if they were saying I could 'tolerate' it, it probably wasn't pleasant! "Should we start today?" Another pause. "No. My...son...would resist if he knew we were keeping them. We'll wait a few days, act like they escaped. Then we'll start." SON?! I knew for a fact that Pierce's father was killed in a war, and mine had committed treason and was executed. So...Ein's dad? It must be. Mac's a girl, not a boy... Ein had never even brought up his parents...or his childhood for that matter. I wonder why?

(???'s POV)

My thoughts swirled as the rain fell softly on my head. I could see the man in red asleep on the couch inside. He had almost spotted me earlier. Thankfully, the fog had concealed me...but it was still too close for comfort. It was afternoon, and the cool rain was being blown around by the wind. I had seen that man carrying a bloody girl...had he killed her? And if so, why? I had seen a truck behind this house last night...did that have something to do with it?

(Quick note: this next part IS ALL FLASHBACKS FROM EIN!)

*"YOU USELESS CHILD!" My father yelled, and my tail tucked between my legs. "I-I-I'm s-s-sorry daddy..." I whimpered, looking down at the bottle I had dropped, which had shattered on impact. Glass shards were in my foot, but I didn't dare complain. My father continued yelling at me. I wished momma was here...she would hug me and kiss me and tell me she loves me...*
