Alec's POV

That was quite odd. A government child came to talk to me the other day. She seemed quite nice. Usually they are sent here complaining of the noise. Like the neighbors would call the government and they wouldn't do shit about it. I lay there waiting for him to call me down. What reason? I don't know. It changes every time. Just about a few hours later I am called down stairs. The peace was nice while it lasted. My brown hair covered my whole face and I was too lazy to fix it. Or move it to the side. So as I entered the room, father trips me. That's what I get for being lazy I guess. I landed weirdly on my elbow. I wince and try to move it. It hurt badly but I could move it. If I can move my arm it's alright. "Y-yes father." I say gingerly. "Listen. I am having people from the government come for a meeting. Clean the house and make it spotless. Cook a huge dinner and clean your dirty ass up." He growls. Nodding I run out of the room and head for the closet with all the cleaning stuff.
I finish the last room. My injured arm only hindered. But I got it as clean as I could. Moving to the kitchen I stumble and spill water on the floor. I try to dry it but slip. Damn today's not my day. I clean up the spill more carefully only to see a few blood stains next to me. I began to scrub the floor. "You did something right for once moron." The male said as he walk by me.
I set the table and cook. I finished just as the doorbell rang. Father answered the door as I ran upstairs to wash up. I hear laughter. I walk down to check out the commotion. "Here is my son Alec. Such a mistake." He grumbles as I walk by. I look downwards in hopes he might spare me a beating. "His only use is entertainment. And even then he isn't too good." He implies. He treats me like shit. He disrespects me beats me into the ground, uses me, treats me as a servant etc. He says I am good for nothing when I feed him and I starve. He beats me and he thinks he has the short end of the stick. He thinks I am useless when I do everything. He leaves me on the edge of sanity and cuts wounds that take too long to heal and leaves me to die. The doorbell rings. "The rest of my family." The other man says. He gets up and let's them him. In walks the girl from the other day. Glaring at my father, she earns a strange look from her mom. "Sit like the cat you are." The women barks. I immediately do so afraid of what might happen other wise. Her daughter walks up to me. "Hey Alec." She whispers. She strokes one of my ears making me hold back a purr. "Hands off that dirty thing hope. You don't know here its been or what its touched." The woman I assumed was her mom said. "For the last time. Jessie. I am not going to let him get hurt. When you told him to sit he did it with out hesitation out of fear. Imagine being put through that much pain to obey a humans every order." Hope says. "I-it's fine. You don't n-need to defend me. I-I'm ok." I whisper. I stand up to leave. Silently crying. "You see what I mean? They try to break you." Hope's mom says. "No. He feels he is making a burden for me." She says. That was all I heard before I close the door and all sounds become muffled. I chose my way of 'coping' were I just mope in my room and list everything in my head that is wrong about me. I wait to be called down to do the dishes or clean up. About twenty minutes passed and there was a knock on the door. The list not even half way done. "C-co-me in." I stammer. "Get your ass down there boy. The girl is board and wants to talk to someone and I am not dealing with that brat again." He scowls. Nodding I hop off my bed and enter the room looking down. "Alec! I am so glad you've come back. Now apologize to my daughter this instant. Or shame be upon you for the rest of your life." Her mother scolds. "I'm s-sorry hope. I didn't mean to walk off like that. I just got... Mad." I sigh. Looking up, my brown hair is hanging over my face. She just looks at me and stands up. "Listen I know you are used to doing this stuff on your own but let me help." She insists. "B-bu-" "No buts." She says. Hope gives me a quick tight embrace and goes back to her seat. I just stand there waiting for what she was going to do. Damn the girl was stubborn.
