Chapter IX

In the following days, Taehyun behaves calmly with Beomgyu. He has raised his voice at him many times but always apologizes afterwards. At school, they eat breakfast together. Sometimes accompanied and other times completely alone. The brunette keeps him informed with all the changes and movements he feels from the baby. Taehyun is pleased to know that the omega is happy with all this.

The alpha chops the fruit on his plate, bringing it to his mouth. Beomgyu is in front of him, eating a burger. He knows it's unhealthy but the omega was craving it. His eyes sparkle as he bites into the juicy meat.

"God, this burger is so good" he wipes the edges of his lips with the napkin Taehyun offers him.

"It doesn't look healthy to me," he tells him, grimacing.

"Don't start, Taehyun" he rolls his eyes.

As if by magic, Yeonjun, Soobin, Hueningkai and Heeseung appear, taking their seats. Taehyun huffs, annoyed. They were already late.

"Look what I brought you, Beomgyu" Heeseung hands him a chocolate cupcake and the omega squeals.

"Thank you so much! I wanted to buy one but the money mom gave me wasn't enough"

He leaves it on his tray, next to his breakfast.

"Why do you give him that?" Taehyun frowns. "It's too sweet for him-"

"Shhh" his cousin shushes him, shoving a french fry into Taehyun’s mouth. "Let the boy enjoy"

Taehyun chews in annoyance.

"Well... The prom is coming" Huening Kai says, unwrapping his burrito.

"Three weeks, yeah" Beomgyu agrees. "Don't you still have someone to go with?"

"No. You neither"

"We can go together if you want, Hyuka."

"It's fine to me," Kai says, not taking it too seriously.

"No" Taehyun answers seriously.

"Why?" The blonde alpha asks, amused. "Why can't Beomgyu go with Kai? They are friends, I don't see anything wrong"

"Because Beomgyu is going with me."

"What? Since when did I not know?" The omega furrows his eyebrows.

"Since now, and now you know"

"You're such a fool, Taehyun" Soobin jumps into the conversation. "You shouldn't be jealous, especially of Hyuka. You could be at least a little romantic, maybe?"

"Why be romantic if he's going to say yes at the end?"

"How can you be so sure?" The pale omega challenges him, bringing his face closer.

Taehyun wants to show his fangs but Yeonjun has pulled his omega against his chest.

"I bet Beomgyu would like you to do something special so you can ask him to the dance" Heeseung says, winking at the brunette. "If you don't do it, I will"

"Hello, I'm still here!" The pregnant omega waves his hand but no one seems to pay attention.

"I can be romantic," Taehyun says, looking at everyone.

"Yes, of course" Kai rolls his eyes.

"I'm going to prove it to all of you!" He stands up from the table, annoyed.

"Where are you going?" Beomgyu asks with his mouth full.

"To plan something for you"

"But I do want to go with you" he pouts playing with his fingers.
