It had been years since I last saw him, but running into him on the street felt like it was just yesterday. It was like time stood still as our eyes locked onto each other's. My heart was racing, and I could feel the familiar fluttering in my stomach.
"Hi," he said, breaking the silence.
I forced a smile and replied, "Hi."
We caught up on each other's lives, talked about our work, and how much we had changed since we last saw each other. I couldn't help but notice the way he was looking at me. It was like he was seeing me in a different light, and it made me feel uneasy.
The Temptation
