Before the incident, Ricky and his wife Kate were happily married. They were planning to settle down and to possibly add more people into their family. Everything was going well for the couple, until...
Ricky's POV:
I followed my usual morning routine. Got out of bed, showered, and brushed my teeth. However, as I had gone to brush my teeth, I took one glimpse of myself in the mirror and SCREAMED in terror. What the actual hell am I?! What happened to me? It seems that I've transformed into... something new. My two eyes that were once there had merged into one. But more importantly, MY EYEBROWS. THEY'RE GONE. My precious eyebrows that I tweezed everyday to perfection had vanished. Gone. Forever. My two beauteous brows had merged into an ugly caterpillar on my now onehead. I thought I was insane, I genuinely couldn't believe the monster I was seeing in the mirror. I tried pinching myself to wake me up from this nightmare but nothing worked. I looked in every mirror in the house, but all of them showed me the same image. A complete monster– a creature that I didn't recognize. This isn't me. This isn't real. What have I become?
Kate's POV:
I woke up to a horrifying scream. I was shocked to hear Ricky screaming, I had never heard him scream like that before. I rushed over to the sudden sound and my jaw DROPPED. My husband is a cyclops! A really hot one!! I saw that he was crying out of his new singular eye, so I rushed over to him to reassure him. He was sobbing over his sudden transformation, thinking that he looked like a monster. But I thought he looked like a beautiful alien from the planet Uranus. The moment I told him my thoughts his eyes lit up. "Really Kate? You think so?" "I know so." I said. He started passionately gazing into my eyes and we were about to share a kiss when all of a sudden...
*Ring ring*
Ricky's POV:
Band Manager: YOU'RE GOING ON TOUR TOMORROW. YOU BETTER BE READY. NO EXCUSES.
*Hangs up*
"What the hell?! There's no way I'm going on tour TOMORROW. Not looking like this." I could feel tears forming in my eyes again. "Everyone is gonna see the real me, the new creature that I've become." I started violently sobbing again, unsure of what to tell my band members and the rest of the world.
Kate's POV:
"Ricky, who was on the phone?" I saw that he was crying again. "Hey it's okay. Talk to me. Tell me what happened." "Kate." He weeped, "I can't do this. I can't be in the spotlight anymore, especially after what's happened to me. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY can see me like this." "Ricky," I started, "I understand that this is an extreme change for you, for all of us. But trust me, you're still as beautiful as you were before. Of course you look different, but you'll always be the same Ricky to me." I gave him a kiss on his onehead. (His eye is now taking up 90% of his face) "I'm sure the band will understand. And about the fans... well, if I'm being honest, they might not take it so lightly. But don't sweat it, I'm sure they'll come around soon enough." "Thank you so much Kate, I really needed that." Ricky responded.
Time skip to tomorrow
Ricky's POV:
I woke up to my alarm. Today was the day me and my band had to go on tour, per my manager's request. I tried to rub my eyes but couldn't, due to the lack of both. I also tried brushing my teeth as usual, but it was difficult since my eye nearly took up my entire face. Just when things couldn't get worse, my toothbrush got into my eye and irritated it, causing it to swell up and burn. "Kate!" I called. "Yes, clopsy baby?" That was my new nickname. "I told you not to call me that, it's embarrassing." I pushed back. "Aw, don't be silly, Ricky. I think your little eye is so cute. It's a perfect name for you." "Whatever." I said, still red from embarrassment. "Look at my eye Kate. It's all inflamed from my toothbrush incident. How am I gonna go on tour when I look like this? And more importantly, how am I supposed to brush my teeth everyday when my stupid toothbrush keeps getting in my eye!"
Kate's POV:
My heart hurt seeing him so upset. I really wish I could help him reverse whatever curse he's under. "Hey Ricky, I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. If it makes you feel better, I love your eye. It makes you unique." I kissed him right on the eye. "Ow, Kate! You know my eye is irritated right now! But thank you, I really appreciate your kind words." Ricky said. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I completely forgot. Your eye is so cute I couldn't help it." I said. "Alright, enough of this nonsense." He complained, "What am I gonna do for the tour? I don't even wanna go after this whole cyclops fiasco. I look like a circus animal." "I have an idea." Kate started...
