'Remember when we 1st met?' Hetty asked.

'Oh how could I forget? I was a hotshot with handsome looking hair, and you were a small, bugged eyed woman that was intimidated by for some reason.' Granger replied.

Hetty snickered. 'You looked so weird with hair. Anyway, you came strutting into Langely like you owned the joint, and I was told we were going to have to work together. And then you made some snide comment about how you didn't work with midgets.'

I did? (chuckle).'

'I wanted to sock you right then and there. But we had a mission to do, so there was no time to argue. On the way to our destination, you wouldn't stop trying to push my buttons. I was really tempted to throw you out of the car right then and there.'

'Even if you did, it would've been quite awkward to have to explain to our bosses why you tried to kill me on our 1st assignment!' Granger said.

'Yes, that would've been a bit of an issue. Now please no more interruptions! We got to the suspect's house, you opened the door, and there was a bomb attached to the door! We both weren't hurt by the blast, thankfully. But I do remember you being on top of me and my ears ringing.' Hetty continued.

Granger snickered.

'I told our bosses I didn't want to work with you anymore, but they insisted we stay on the case. And in the end, they were right on the money. Because if it wasn't for your quick thinking karate skills, that crook would've gotten away.'

'You had 1 mean left hook back then.' Granger said.

'And you better believe I still have it! I didn't want to work with you after that, but to the surprise of all surprises, I was told we'd be partners full time! I couldn't believe it.'

'Almost hard to believe we became friends after that. Much less lovers.' Granger said.

'Well, saving 1 person's skin more times then they can count can have that effect on someone.' Hetty replied.

'I suppose. Or maybe you just couldn't resist my hair.'

Then they both laughed.
