After first meeting the girls Jenna showed me around some more before dropping me in with Jonas Eidevall, the club Manager. He gave the usual spiel, welcoming me to the club. He explained his goals and what he expects of me this season.
As I left his office I walked along to the centres entrance where Jenna was stood talking to a young player as I got closer I realised it was Kyra Cooney-Cross.
"Ah perfect timing" Jenna exclaimed as I got closer. "Molly, this is Kyra. She lives in the flat next to you, she's going to give you a lift home".
As much as I wanted to say not to worry and that I didn't want to be a bother. I had no other way of getting home as Jenna had drove us here. So instead I smiled towards Kyra and said thank you.
I gave Jenna a hug and thanked her for showing me around all day then walked out with Kyra.

I got into seat beside Kyra and she began asking me about my day. As she put her Key in the ignition I noticed a dangling Arsenal key ring with the number 32 on it.
"You feeling overwhelmed yet?"
As I looked back up at her I saw she had a big smile on her face.
I chuckled at this. "Only slightly"
"It gets easier once you get through the first couple of weeks it you'll feel a lot more settled". She said reassuringly.
"Is this coming from experience" I asked her.
She thought for a moment half focusing on the drive and the other half on our chat. "Well, to be honest I think I had it easy. I knew Caitlin and Steph really well from playing international. So I was glued to them for a while and they helped me settle."
I looked away from her before she quickly followed up with "don't worry, I'll make sure you settle. You can stick with me." She smiled.
She has a very kind face and looks like it's just always formed to smile.

As we pulled up on Kyra's drive and got out the car. She gave me her phone number and said to text her and she would show me the local coffee shop.

I headed inside and slumped down on the couch. It finally hit how quiet it was. I took my phone out and phoned my mum. Told her all about my busy first day. After that it was just coming up to 7pm. I took the pasta my dad had made me out the fridge and after thinking for a minute I got up walked out the door and crossed the walk way to Kyra's flat. I chapped her door and within 5 seconds she opened the door with a big smile. "Missing me already". She said laughing.
I laughed back. "I was just wondering if you wanted to come have dinner at mine? It's safe my dad made it, but there's way too much".
Without another word she stepped out and locked her door behind her.

We wandered back across and I played everything up and we tucked in. We chatted, laughed, gossiped for hours. At around 10pm Kyra left to go back through to hers.
It had been the perfect distraction. I was now exhausted from the day I changed into a pair of shorts and baggy tshirt and fell into bed and straight to sleep.
