Aiko's Point of View

We didn't do that much today at school except for these other students who keep promoting their clubs. Well, they said it's required. Each student must have at least one co-curricular and one extra-curricular club.

Me and Zahra are sitting together, and Mateo is sitting with Gael. Gael Perez is the class president and also the top student, and I think he's cool.

"Okay, class, you are dismissed!" Our teacher said as the bell rang through the speakers. We packed our stuff. "And also, don't forget to go to the park. You guys must join at least one per co. and extra; it is part of your clearance," she added before she left. While both of us were busy packing, Adeline and Kayori approached us and invited us to go to the park.

"Aiko, wanna come and check out the clubs at the park?" Adeline said, and I nodded. "You Z, you should come." Adeline invited her. Zahra looked at her and was about to shake her head as a no, but Kayori cut her off.

"You are coming; I don't take no," Kayori firmly said, which made Zahra obey. I laughed at the situation because I find it very similar to mine and Adeline. Zahra had no choice but to join us, and she nodded, which made Kayori smile so wide. Both girls were so excited that we took our bags and left the room.

While we're on our way to the park, there was silence between us, and it's starting to get awkward, which I find uncomfortable as the silence is still going on. I cleared my throat to get her attention. She looked at me, and I smiled at her. "What's your MBTI? I'm curious; I just got mine last night," I said, so out of nowhere. I want to talk to her, but I don't have the topic of what we should talk about, so I blurted out some random things to start a conversation with her. Talk about the socially awkward Aiko, who would do anything to have a conversation with Zahra.

"I am an ISFJ," Zahra stated, and I reacted to it. I mean, it's kind of obvious that she's an ISFJ, but what surprised me is that her personality means protector or defender, so it fits her position right now. "I am an INFP-T; I don't know why, but I think it's accurate," I said, and I giggled at it. She looked at me, and her stare melted me. I wanted to look away because I could tell that my cheeks were turning red right now. She looked away. "A mediator, make sense." I was puzzled.

"I mean, you are calm-looking right now, but I can tell that you can't handle stress." That hits me right through the bones. I smiled through the pain, which is so very right about me. "Damn, how did you get that right?" I said and faked a cry. She giggled a little, and believe me, it's really cute, and I liked how it sounded. I giggled as well, and we talked for awhile.

We arrived already at the park, and we saw a lot of booths, with students busy shouting and promoting their clubs. The booths were so creative and pleasing to the eye, something that I would expect at this time. The weather is nice as well, and I feel good, so I might join something at this instance. We looked around the booth and checked them one by one, asking questions. Kayori and Adeline had already signed up for a booth they liked, while I'm still busy looking around. I saw the band booth, which caught my attention. I walked towards that booth and checked it. I grinned at the idea of another band and hoped that it wouldn't make her other band jealous. I signed up without any second thoughts, and to my surprise, I saw my classmates, Mateo and Gael, signing up, including my guy friend.

"Decided to join a band?" Zahra said out of the blue, which made my heart burst out. "You startled me!" I said while trying to calm myself down, and she giggled again. "I can tell." I stood properly. "Is this band that bad?" I asked her, and she was confused by my question. "I mean, it's a band, but I was surprised that not many people signed up for this." I said. I heard her sigh so deeply, so I think maybe there's something that scares or keeps people away from it. I was waiting for her explanation of it.
