Diagon Alley

"We were supposed to be here with her."

"Yes we were... but I am happy that I can share this moment with you father."

My lips form a smile and I look up to my father. From my angle I can see his face and his lips also forming a smile.

His eyes grow wider. "Give me a moment I need to get a wizard or witch".

My father left me dumbfounded infront of the wall.

Ehm.. okay... An emotional moment and now I am confused.

The confusion is not long lived as my father returns with the barkeeper which gives me a bright smile.

"Blimey, long time that I have seen a Martima", he says and tipps three times at the stone wall. "And that right after I have seen Harry Potter. I am indeed a lucky man." He shakes my hand cheerfuly and disapears again.

I tilt my head but I get distracted by a bright hole which startes to form and grows further and further till a whole new street is visible.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley."

Before my view a busy street stretches out with a lot of strange dressed people. They are shopping, walking, talking and carrying around owls and cauldrons.

The buildings seem to lean a bit and when we enter the street I can read signs with 'Hogwarts School Books sold here' or 'Olivanders' written on them.

It is an amazing view. The atmospheric is magical and feels unreal. Out of this world. I feel how my stomach is tingly with excitment and my mood is getting giddy.

As we walk past a store window I see children gather around it and looking at a broomstick saying stuff like: "The broom costs too much." - "Yeah XX Galleons is just too much."

My head turns to my father: "Galleons? Is that wizard money?"

The brown haired guy nods his head: "Correct! And when I read your face right then you are questioning from where we should get that, right?" He laughs and I feel how my cheeks are getting a bit warm.

I shake my head "Just because you are right, does not mean you are right."

The hand of my father ruffles through my hair: "Yeah yeah of course. Your light red hair are saying something different."

In shock I grab after them and I see people looking at me and wispering.

Is this not normal? Come on look at your clothes.

"You have gotten a lot better with controlling it but there is still a lot to learn. But more important, Aurora do you see the building with the dragon on top?"

"The building which is very tilted and says 'Gringotts Bank'? Do you wanna say we have a bank account with wizard money in this bank? Thats crazy!"

My father laughes as he guides me to the bank: "Not exactly a bank account. If i recall correct then it is called a vault. It belonged to your mother. But now it is all yours."

We enter the building and infront of us are two big silver doors with words engraved:

ENTER STRANGER, BUT TAKE HEED
OF WHAT AWAITS THE SIN OF GREED.
FOR THOSE WHO TAKE, BUT DO NOT EARN
MUST PAY MOST DEARLY IN THEIR TURN.
SO IF YOU SEEK BENEATH OUT FLOORS
A TREASURE THAT WAS NEVER YOURS.
THIEF, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, BEWARE
OF FINDING MORE THAN TREASURE THERE.

Well I am not going to steal here ever. Thats for sure.

The doors open and the first thing I catch sight of are the big chandeliers on the ceiling which are going down a big hall.

On each side are high black tables with lamps and behind the tables small grim and old looking creatures which are sitting and watching over papers.

My father bows down a little and wispers:

"They are called Goblins."

"Goblins? Does that mean that every 'fairy tale' creature is real?"

"Yes Aurora, that is what it means. Dragons, Unicorns and even more that we do not even know."

More than we know? What else? Vampires? Werewolfs?

Just thinking about it makes me giddy and overwehlmed at the same time. Everything is real. Every single creature!

"That is amazing! And I will get to know them all!"

"Mhm."

Michael is worried again...

My thoughts are interrupted as we arrive at the end of the hall where another table stands. Infront a giant with bushy hair and a small boy around my age which are talking to a Goblin.

They are speaking very silent but I can somewhat understand what they are saying:

"It's about the You-Know-What in vault seven hundred and thirteen."

"Very well. I will have someone take you down to both vaults. Griphook!"

And yet another Goblin appears and guides the strange pair towards another door.

The small boy turns around and the first thing I notice are his bright green eyes which are directly looking into mine.

For a couple of seconds we stare but the giant seems to hurry the boy up what leads him to look up to the big man. One last glance gives me the boy as he follows the massive man again.

My gaze follows them too.

His eyes are mesmerizing green and his hair dark brown and all over the place. His clothes are way to big for him and his glasses way to destroyed and crooked.

Who is he? Will we go to the same school? He seems just like me overwhelmed and new to all of this.
