CHAPTER THREE. THE BARGAINING

Squid spirled down into the night kingdoms arena,it was like an empty oasis nothing but charcoal sand and one dead sky wing boy did it stink. "Dandelion!! Dandeli-!!!" A large brute nightwing slammed him down on the ground,shoving a mask on his head,tight around his throat he tried to scream but couldn't. His attacker threw him into an large bergamot filled room,squid sneezed as he entered,queen crow stared down at him from her gold and purple throne,"we'll let dandelion live as soon as you admit your crimes."queen crow hissed "I....I.."he stared at dandelion,in a cage with a spear pointed to her throat she nodded. "Fine. I admit.." "admit what squid? Speak it."queen crow said pointing a spear at his throat as well. "I killed queen stingray! Is that what you wanted!?"squid huffed as queen crow yanked the Spear away,she signaled to her troops,engrave walked in,keys dangling from his neck,he unlocked dandelions cage,from what squid could see,esgrave was opening his mouth maybe to speak? "NO!!!" Queen crow said as bolted at esgrave slamming him to the ground,"you imbecile! HOW DARE YOU SHOOT FIRE. YOU DIDNT WAIT FOR MY SIGNAL." Dandelion was shaking and screaming on the floor covering her face,squid ran over to her hoping she'd be ok,one of dandelions eyes where completely melted,"you monster! Dandelion is hurt all because of you!!"squid yelled as he grab a flame silk jar from one of the guards,he leaped onto queen crow and battled her. To the ground,with a thud he leaped onto her stomach and opened her mouth,popping open the flamsilk jar he swiftly poured it into her mouth,queen crow thrashed and turned as it burned her inside out. Squid stared in amazement,could he be king of the night wings? He could certainly try... he trotted up to the throne and sat down,he pulled a lever many nightwings bolted into the room. They stared down at there queen and gasped,rage anger sadness and applause filled the room. "I've killed your queen. So I think it's fair that I be your new king."squid laughed staring down at his new subjects. He needed to try. He couldn't wuss out of this. He used this mentality of "needing" to do this to ward off the thoughts that were lingering in the back of his head. He needed to push those thoughts away as much as he possibly could. He didn't actually need to be king but he was doing it for dandelion. He always did it for her. He loved dandelion more than he thought originally. Speaking of dandelion,squid whipped his head around in her direction and quickly ran over to her panic flooding his mind as he bent down and examined her wounds;her left eye was badly melted,one of her legs had been badly burned and squid bet she couldn't walk on it. He couldn't treat her here,he had to take her to the infirmary. Squid nudged her with his snout and she lifted her head and spoke. "Squid..?"she cried her voice raspy and rough most likely from all the screaming she had done just then."come on try to stand. I need yo u to so I can easily carry you" he mumbled and he watched as she nodded her head and stood up on wobbly unstable legs. He quickly pulled her onto his back and carried her to the infirmary as fast as he could. Her weight slowed him down a bit because he's not used to carrying anything heavy while running. Soon they reached the infirmary and he rested her down on the bed.
