(Dahyun pov)

How amazingly awkward can this get?

Sitting at lunch with the same people that tried to kill me? I'm so gonna get back at Yeri for this. 

"So...what do you like to do in your free time Dahyun?" Nayeon asked. If she thinks for one minute that I'll answer ANY of her questions then she's long past wrong.

"Why do you want to know?" I tried to sound polite or somewhere remotely close, but I think I might've came off as rude.

"Ok jeez sorry for wanting to know you more" Nayeon raised her hands acting as if she didn't do anything wrong.

"Oh don't pretend to be the good guy here."

"I didn't do anything though" 

"You know lying isn't good for the soul" 

"I'm not lying"

"Oh really? Then I guess it wasn't you that tried to kill me and possibly then push me off the roof? I was right not to trust you Elites, you always bring nothing but trouble for those who are below you. Is this what this is? Do you wish to make my life worse simply because you can?"

"Wha—no of course not. I can explain that if you give me a chance. I swear i had good reason"

"Good reason to kill me??" I stood up and shouted a little louder than my usual voice, but not enough to gain attention, Sana tried telling me to calm down, and to sit back down but I just wasn't having it today. I've had enough of their shit for one day. Why the hell was I even over here? Oh right because they told Yeri to make me sit here. Such manipulators.

"Dahyun?" I turned back to see Minju, she was holding those damned flyers again. "Are you ok? Is this a bad time? I can go myself today if you—"

"No, it's fine. I'm coming, you go ahead first ok?" I smiled at her, and she nodded then started walking away, as I watched her

"Who's that?" Momo asked

"Why do you want to know? What to drag her into this mess as well?" I snapped. She didn't even do anything to me, I don't even know her but the simple fact that she's one  of them and better yet, childhood bestfriends? I think not. "If you think you can cause her trouble you've got another thing coming. Over my dead body will you touch her. Remember that. I'm leaving." I said and finally left.

I caught up with Minju and took most of those flyers, they looked pretty heavy in her arms anyway. Sure she could use on of her abilities to carry some for her, but she doesn't like using them unless she's in real trouble, unlike all these other people that just use their abilities whenever they can.

"We're you ok back there? With the Elites? You looked pissed, did something happen?" She said in a quiet voice without looking up at me

"I'm fine, something just happened between us"

"Be careful ok? They are known around here to have bad tempers, I don't want you to get hurt" she finally looked at me, I swear I could get lost in her eyes forever

"Okay, I will. Now come on, let's get these flyers put up so you can go with your friends"

"They are basically a zoo at this point" Minju said with a small chuckle

"At least you have friends, right?" I said and laughing

(Mina pov)

"Nayeon why? Just—why?" Jihyo started after Dahyun left fuming 

"I swear I didn't do anything this time"

"She was actually trusting us, but you had to pull that stunt without telling any of us??" Jihyo added

"I had good reason though"

"But she would never think so, how would you like it if someone tried to attack you and only told you they had good reason for their actions?" Momo joined

"Ugh what are we gonna do?.." Jihyo and Sana were both freaking out. Being the most compassionate in our group, plus the guilt, puts them in a tough spot,I could never.

"She'll never listen to you, and even if we tell her she won't believe us anymore. Ugh" Jihyo had her head down now. She was overwhelmed by everything 

"It'll be ok Jihyo, we'll figure it out" I said and started rubbing her back in an attempt to comfort her.

"You're right! We can do this, i can do this!" She said triumphally, wow I guess it's that simple to get her back into her head

"That's the spirt!" Sana added

"Hey didn't you guys say that I'll be in the same dorm as her? And Mina I remember that part"

"Uh yeah, why do you ask?"

"Me and Mina could maybe try and get her out of her shell? And like explain even though I have no clue what Nayeon's motive was but Mina probably knows"

"Sure we could try that. We gotta do this quick too, the 3 acts are coming up soon and I don;t want us to be worrying about this mess. Plus if she gets into any of the 3 acts, especially the duels, I don't know what to do.." Jihyo said

"Why? What about the 3 acts and what f she gets chosen? What' so bad about that?"

"Almost this entire school hates her. And plus ever since she's been seen with us, her bullies have been restless and only do more and worse things to her now. I feel bad for her honestly, and with the fact that she told us she doesn't have any abilities" Sana answered

"But then how did she get into Luminary? I thought this school's whole thing was about like powers and stuff?" Momo asked

"That's the part we don't know, we can't say she's lying to us because we've never seen her ever use her powers either, which only adds oil to the fire of Nayeon's suspicions" I added

"Nayeon, why are you actually so suspicious about Dahyun? You've been lying a lot recently, did you forget I can tell what you say is true or a lie?" Momo spoke seriously to Nayeon this time.

"I-I the thing is—"

"No no we don't want to hear any of that, just tell us why you are like this, simple and no fluff."

"Fine."
