Third Person

"...yeah, so I fucked up that test on Thursday. It was stupid anyway, who needs to learn about fucking motion and physics and shit? It's just... physics! Apples are red or green! Or... yellow, whatever! What the hell am I gonna use that for?" Akito flailed his arms up in a frustrated matter. The said ginger was laying on Toya's chest, who was chuckling softly while he laid on his bed, listening to Akito's rant. He gently played with Akito's hair, running it through his fingers. A moment passed before he responded.

"Physics are going to be important for your future, and so that you can understand how the world works. And no, physics isn't stupid..." Toya spoke in a soft manner, his eyes glued to Akito.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever... Let's move on..." Akito grumbled softly, sighing.

Relaxing even further, the ginger let out a contented sigh. Toya's fingers felt soothing, and he was quite tranquil at the moment. To him, he thought Toya gave off a nice calming vibe, basically soothing the whole room when he walks in. Akito felt the soft and slow thumping of Toya's heart, his chest heaving up and down gently, bringing Akito's head with it. Just then, his phone let out a buzz. Sighing, Akito slipped his phone out of his pocket and stared at the message. Curious, Toya glanced at the device screen, seeing An's contact was open. His hands stopped fiddling with Akito's hair, as Toya felt the ginger's figure tense up. Getting off of Toya's chest, Akito quickly typed on his phone and turned it off.

"Uhh... i'm sorry Toya, but I gotta go."

"...What? Why...?"

"I-it's an... uh... emergency! With... uh... Ken!"

"What? Let me come."

"NO! I-I mean... it's alright! D-don't worry... i'll see you tomorrow!"

Akito shot off the bed, swooping down to the floor to sling his back pack over his shoulder. He rushed towards the window, his source of entrance and exit whenever he was at Toya's.

"Bye!"

The boy leaped out of the window and onto the tree, climbing down in an orange blur. Toya sat there on his bed in silence, shaking his head in disbelief. His parted mouth closed, and he sighed. The reason of Akito's sudden absence was obvious, and was nipping at Toya like a suffocating cold wind. His usual shiny grey eyes grew dim, similar to clouds blocking the sun.

Toya leaned his back against his bed's headrest, pushing his legs up against his chest. He mindlessly stared on his phone, his lock screen consisting of him and Akito. Forming in Toya's throat was a small lump, refusing to be swallowed. The blue haired boy bit his lip, feeling his heart throb in pain in his chest, the realization hitting him like a tidal wave, washing over him and draining his body of any evident humanoid characteristics.

'He likes her. I know it. He's been like this for the past few months. I don't have any doubts.'

2 weeks later

Ring! The bell rang throughout the school, signalling the beginning of learning. Toya scanned through his locker one last time, making sure nothing was to be left and forgotten. Once he was content, he closed his locker and glanced over to his side, seeing Akito and An walk through the school entrance together, talking. Toya's expression remained nonchalant.

"Heya, Toya!" An smiled, waving as she walked towards the taller boy.

"Hello, Shiraishi, Akito."

"Hi, Toya."
