First Beach, La Push, Washington

I don't even remember the last time I went to the beach. My skin was so fair that I knew I would get a sunburn, even though I had 100-proof sunscreen. Most of all, I was nervous about my bathing suit.

"It's okay, Bella, you look so hot, I promise. Come on," Angela said, pulling me by the wrist to get out of Tyler Crowley's Car. Angela is a meek person in front of other people, but she is pretty fun and wild when she is around her friends,

"Lauren is going to make fun of me," I mumbled. The others were already here.

"Oh, don't even listen to her. She was flatter than you last year, and she has bad skin," Angela said, and Tyler laughed, getting the cooler out of the back of the van.

Angela helped me out since we were the same clothing size. She put me in a zip-top cropped tank top and a tennis skirt. I had never worn something this girly or revealing before. When I asked Angela to help, I thought she would have something more conservative, but she dresses like a grandma. I have no idea where these clothes came from.

"Let me just put on my towel,"

"No," Angela pulled me out of the car with strength. I didn't know where it came from, but she kept her hands on my waist as I clung to her. "I won't let them say anything bad about you. You look amazing," she said, and my heart started speeding up. C'mon." She grabbed my hand. I looked back to see if Tyler needed help with the chairs, but he waved me off.

It wasn't as sunny as I was thinking. It was cloudy but still a warm, pretty day for the beach. There weren't many people here, just some locals from La Push. I liked how vacant the beach was. I remember going to the beach with my grandparents in Florida, and there was barely any spot to put your chair down. There were so many people.

"Yo-yo, Bells and Ang!" Eric cheered, putting his hands up in the air, and the others all looked this way

"Bella!" Mike smiled and rushed up to us like a golden retriever, hugging me, "Woah, you ripped," Mike widened his eyes, looking me up and down.

"Could you be more obvious?" Tyler asked Mike.

   "Obvious about what?"

"Er... About being excited that you are here!" Mike smiled before gesturing to the umbrella with a blowed-up float tied to the post so it wouldn't fly away. It had a rope tied around it. "I got it so you can enjoy the water too,"

"Oh... wow, thank you," I smiled at him. Honestly, I fear the beach because I can't swim and don't know what is around. Stingrays and sharks, people peeing in the water. Though I appreciated Mike's thought, I don't want to be a lame person who doesn't have fun with their friends.

"Let's warm up to it. Let's go for a walk," Angela told me.
