I have always lived my life with the "yolo" mindset. I never cared what people thought of me. I always have and always will shoot my shot, but... that doesn't mean I can't be nervous when an attractive man is right in front of me, and I just asked for a kiss.

"What?" Blake said, glancing over at his friends. I wasn't sure if he actually didn't hear what I said, or just didn't believe it. Maybe I'm just delusional, but I swear I saw a faint smile on his face.

He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by one of his friends calling him over. "Holy shit Blake! Come see this!" The one wearing a mask and glasses said, the whole group staring at his phone. I wonder why he covers his face.

I smirked to myself as I put the lid back on my drink, drifting my attention away from the boys. I thought Blake had already walked away until he started speaking to me again. I quickly muted so chat couldn't hear our conversation. I turned my head to look up at him as I took a sip of my drink. Dr Pepper, my favorite.

"I still want your number, if that's okay." He said, smiling and running a hand through his hair. Which I'm not sure why, but at this time it was the most attractive thing a man could do.

I tried to contain the giant smile on my face, but it was hard when the man who wants your number was a tall brunette boy.

"Sure," I said. "I can put it in your phone."
He pulled out his phone, unlocked it, and handed it to me. I went to the contacts app and put in my number. I thought to myself for a second on what I could put my name as in his phone. I could be flirty and add a heart at the end... or i could make it a nickname...

I bit my lip as I put my name in his phone. I just went with my normal name. No emojis, no nicknames. I thought it might be too forward, or too extra. I didn't want to embarrass myself.

"Y/n." He said, reading off the contact name as I handed the phone back to him. Our moment was quickly interrupted by another one of his friends. "Blake!" One said, I couldn't catch who it was though.

We both walked our separate ways. He went to his friends, and I walked over to the exit. My heart was beating out of my chest as I pushed the door open to leave. I wasn't sure why I was so nervous in front of him. I haven't felt like this since middle school.
